We have had our flights to and from the US/Canada cancelled by both BA and Virgin (we flew out with one, back with the other).  A flight between the two was also changed, so we got money back from that.  We were due to go out about now and come back in a couple of weeks.

When’s it going to stop ?It could go on ad infinitum

When people stop being retarded, or a lot more are dead.

I'd guess the latter.

I am pretty glad they cancelled as the West Coast is a bit of a hotspot right now and we'd likely have issues both ways anyway.  As it was once one flight goes getting as much cash back from the rest as you can is a good result.  We knew early enough to be able to cancel all the booked accomodation without too much pain.   My brother was coming over here from New Zealand this summmer and I don't think it has been as painless for him.

We were heading up to Vancouver Island which looks a good place for avoiding other folks, but don't think Seattle would have been enjoyable.

I have seen some of the things the Wynn has been doing, so I'd be happier there than most places in Vegas.  Sure 8am swims in an empty pool would be as good as they ever were.

Yeah, I lost some gems through the Wynn app, but now have enough for about 2 weeks of rooms if I buy myself back up to a higher level.

I've moved my flight to December, and will likely go then as it's pretty quiet for most of December, bar the Rodeo, which I don't know is going ahead.

I can't imagine it will have been much fun for him, though I'd guess it's nice having people in charge that are bit less cumbersome.

I've been following things pretty closely next door, and Wynn look to be streets clear in every aspect of things. Not surprising really, and that's what their brand is built on.

If I do go in December, I might just plot up at Wynn after Mandalay Bay and just keep adding 3 nights onto the booking and stay until I leave.

That's if borders are open, obviously Smiley

We were planning on Goa in January n Thailand in February
That’s been swapped for Tenerife in January
Undecided about February might rent a bungalow Miami area to use some of our upgrades up with virgin ,or go to Vegas
But it won’t be a trip to the third world for sure
Mercury holidays do a 3 weeks in Malta for the price of two ,which I’ve fancied trying for years but never been able to ,Denise’s only concern is ?is it warm / sunny enough ?
At home early February for my daughters 21 st then away again
Denise is about to be made redundant from Ikea
So it’s our gap year next year we’ve both worked since leaving school
So it’s time for us
Booked June 8 th to July tenth for Vegas next year managed to get through yesterday
First call no response 1 hr 20 mins 11 am ish
Second call 1600 I got through n got disconnected
Third n fourth call they were playing the hello hello hello I can’t hear you trick - at which point we nearly needed a new hand set
Undaunted I tried a fifth time n we got upper there n premium back but upgraded to upper for £112 each plus 135 k miles woo woo

I was quite surprised to read 888/Olympic casino in Talinn have a festival going on from this weekend.   I loved Talinn on my trip there a few years ago, but it seems a step up from what I'd be comfortable with.  Estonia seems to have low Covid cases, but I wouldn't be condident I wasn't sharing air with some random from a Covid hotspot.

Think I'd be happy visting Talinn, but it wouldn't be for poker.   Would others here go given the chance?

Not been for years, but liked it the one time I went for the 'Nordic Challenge' or whatever it was called. Nice city, and had a good time there, though the strip club was a bit dodgy.

Probably helped by making the final and chopping the added Caribbean cruise package when I got heads up with one of my Swedish mates in the main event.

Those were the days Grin

I'll probably have a look in the poker room at Xmas, but will probably leave it until the Summer for any comps.

Yeah, the city was very nice.  Food was a bit random, ranging from very good to very bad.  Hotel was a bit grim too, I think it was related to the casino, though I might be wrong.  It was pretty much next door, and designed so you'd want to spend way more time in the casino than the hotel.  We didn't go to the strip club, but went to a great night club where betfair gave away way too much free booze.

Genuinely have no idea if I cashed in anything.

Good times.

Tallinn is a great place. I really liked it. Very seasonal as it so far north. But can be nice in summer or winter if you don't mind the cold. The hotel next to the casino has been spruced up now and as pretty decent I would say, and the casino is one of the better ones (but there are plenty of places to stay - I stayed in an abandoned ballet studio but that's another story!). The poker festivals there are some of the best organised. They usually pack their schedules and you can play multiple tourneys in one day, but yeah as you say, maybe leave the poker for now. Lovely city, but quite small, so 2-3 days might be enough if you aren't playing poker and I'm not sure I really want to go to a biggish poker festival right now. Was also surprised, they have the Summer Showdown this week and then 888 in August. Seems a bit... early.

Ah sigh I miss travel.

Might have been the same one 'Reval Park Hotel & Casino', I think it was.

It wasn't the best. I flew out with John Tab and we stayed at the Radisson the night before we moved over to the hotel where the tourney was. It was like moving from the Wynn, into Hooters Cheesy

That sounds familiar, but more like the toilets at Hooters?  I wouldn't be surprised if John Tab was with as it was a Betfair do, but think he had probably moved on by then.

It looks like bergeroo is right and it is a Hilton now and the casino has been refurbed too.

Maybe another year I'll try anf go back.

Had our BA Vegas holiday in November cancelled the other day by British Airways.
We were due to fly on the Gatwick service, but looks like that ends in mid October and they didn't offer to move us to Heathrow (which was fine, as we're making other plans)

Really hard to see when the average UK tourist will be able to visit America again. Until early summer I was pretty confident November would go ahead without issues, now I think anyone hoping to have a trouble free visit in 2020 is a pipe dream.

Already got a packed 2021 holiday wise so could be 2022 before I can get to Sin City again, big sigh.

I'm aiming for 2022 or 2023. Even if they do open up again next year the reports I'm hearing of the current Sin City clientele - let's just say it's more like Skegness than Vegas at the moment!
