"Our" boy? He might be your boy, but he's certainly not mine.

Just sit reading the trip reports on VMB crying onto my keyboard.

Yeah, mine is 2nd December, and I'm thinking I'm 1/10 to skip this year.

I've changed my summer hotels from Aria/Nomad to Mirage/Mandalay as I don't really want to be where it's busiest.

whoa, that is pretty astonishing.  Would be pretty mad to go out and stay in the Wynn bubble.  Most places in Vegas the experience would be so shitty you just couldn't do it.  But with such good food choices, such nice places to drink, swim and gym and the best poker room in Vegas, it just isn't going to be terrible.

Yeah, it's one of only 3 properties I could stay at for >1week and not need to leave.

For those looking ahead to summer 2021, Caesars Palace look to have some very good rates across various dates; seen prices starting from as low as £66 a night in June.

I've provisionally booked a week there 22-29 June, with return flights in premium economy with Virgin (outbound direct, inbound via LAX), for £1020pp for myself and a mate, which seems a very competitive price.

I say provisionally cos fuck knows how realistic it is to go ahead and thankfully I don't have to pay a deposit through work  Cheesy

Also another BA luxury sale has started up again, same dates in CP is £1728pp for Club out/into Gatwick.
Think the lead in price is Excalibur for about £1500pp so its a very good price for CP.

Whether we'll be able to visit Vegas relatively normally by June is another matter altogether!

I'm just waiting for them to cancel my December flight, so I can take the refund and then book for June-July.

I've got 3 1/2 weeks booked for the bargain price of £1k all in with $400 back in FP/RC.

Going to pay and upgrade to upper on the way back from PE, as it's only another £400 from the PE cabin I'm in anyway.

Sad news albeit inevitable, I really did enjoy the Mirage but Excalibur was kind to me for cash

Very sad news; The Mirage was one of my favourite cardrooms. Clear signs of decline of the room for the last few years, but I always enjoyed the old-timer-dealers and the generally friendly atmosphere.

Staying at Mirage/Delano next summer, so I guess I won't be doing any drunk poker before bed now.
