Don't wire to the cage for poker, they often won't let you just have it to 'spend'

FairFX cards let you withdraw $1k a day.

You can wire to the cage for the poker though and no problem if you use some for spend, just don't cash it all back in at the end of the session.

Depends what your daily requirements are I suppose.

You can also go to the actual bank depending on who you bank with and how far you are willing to travel.

I've always done cash, with multiple back up cards. Means spending can go on the cards and I can combine the withdrawal limits.

Only once has it bought about a whole different game of credit card roulette.

I always find cash with a selection of multiple back up cards

Yeah that I think is going to be my plan. Got a specialist travel credit card for all the non gambling spends. Just debating whether to take 9k USD in cash or take a smaller amount and get something like the FairFX card (but not that one as the rates are dire these days) where I can withdraw up to 1k per day
Was looking at Starling as it's fee free but their max withdrawal sucks.

They can get funny as you're technically using them as a bank. I had a mare when I did it for WSOP and wanted the money from the Rio to go buyin to the main event. They didn't want to give it over, and it took over an hour to get it cleared.

Might have been Skalie or another brit that had problems getting his dough, as they wanted to hand it over in chips, obv.

I'm the same as you, I usually take half my money in cash, and the other half on a prepaid card. With a couple cards as back up Cheesy

I use my clarity card for all my hotels, as that's as close to spot as we can get, I think.

Dec 3rd - Jan 4th booked now.

Added a couple days to catch the HGS event first week in December, and hopefully grinding cash through Rodeo will pay for Xmas.

I still talk to a lot of people that really don't understand what happens when they go USD ---> GBP ---> USD.  They see signs like "no fees" but don't somehow notice that their $10k turned into $9k along the way washing it through currencies unnecessarily.

While it isn't enough to get WSOP buyins over there, for anyone looking to play lower buyins and some fun money for F&B&E, skrill still have a very good solution.

I'm assuming that the money was won in USD ofc to start with - if you just have £ from wages or whatever, then this isn't any use.

Skrill now have a category 'True Skriller' - none of this €15k/quarter minimum spend for VIP.  All you have to do is download the app, veriy the account and make a small initial deposit.  You can then get a free Skrill card.

WIthdraw $10k from poker site to skrill.

Turn up in Vegas.  Withdraw $1k per day from ATM, or use it at points of sale.  So, for example charge everything to the room and pay off your hotel bill with it.

In this way, $1k on Stars becomes $1k in your hand in Vegas, easy to sort and can't really do any better than that.

Nah, mine is all in GBP from wages and live cash over here. Sounds good though, still might be worth looking at their rates as any card that allows for 1k+ cash withdrawals is what I really want.

I don't think their rates are any better than anywhere else when $:£ charges come into play.  Kickbacks are minimal, it is really only of special interest to anyone that can keep it in $ and avoid paying the buy/sell spread when they don't need to.

If taking cash
Don’t bother declaring it in the uk - I did once they were gobsmacked and not interested
DO DECLARE IT on your arrival in usa they don’t seem to care where it’s from and just complete a form ,or it can be confiscated if found
Obv need a room safe
If getting a hooker rent another room !

65,000 fans attended Allegiant Stadium in Vegas last night to watch Garth Brooks. (Who?).

T Mobile Arena was full too, for the McGregor fight.

Normal is well & truly back in Vegas. For now.

Amazing, isn't it? Hard to see how this all ends well.

Not affected the weather though - was 105F at 0130 this morning.
