Hi im thinking of booking flight for wsop end of september , Anyone know if we can just get the flight an go st8 to Vegas ? Will they let us in or are there any restrictions . I have had both jabs also if that helps ! Thanks for any travel info
Yep, st8 to Vegas met, they don't even check your passport! Can't get in the US full stop currently for tourism. So you can book a flight and sit back and wait with the rest of us to see if Biden lifts the UK travel ban in time for September trips. Rumour has it he promised Merkle there would be an announcement in the coming days for Europeans which could well include us. (They were the days........ CALL!)

Been one since March 2020, but it's due for review after he got pressed on it yesterday by some German press out there following Merkel. Probably better off trying to see if you can sound out one of the Brits who were in Vegas playing recently, Pete. Or you can spend a couple weeks in Mexico first

Pete you're better off booking 2 weeks in an airbnb in Mexico and playing online, then going to Vegas for WSOP. Covers you either way and guarantees you'll get over there no matter what Biden says about European travel.

You have to spend 14 days somewhere that is allowed into the US - Not UK/Schengen area (anywhere else banned).

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announces the U.S. will maintain all travel restrictions and NOT be lifting any of them anytime soon because of the Delta variant.https://twitter.com/CurtisHouck/status/1419708270210658313

Yeah, then gives out of date information when talking about things in the UK. Couldn't make it up Hopefully the CDC do keep looking at it. From what I've managed to glean, it's this Zients that is the one keeping things locked down.

Direct from the UK? Highly unlikely.
If you go to Mexico for a minimum of 14 days then you can fly to the US after that. There is restriction on non essential travel into the US from Mexico but weirdly this does not count if you fly!
Also, apparently Canada is opening up to fully vaccinated travellers as of Sept. 7th. People could potentially spend 2 weeks in Canada (I hear Montreal is very good for live poker) and then fly to Vegas. Again, you HAVE to fly from Canada to US, all land/rail/boat borders are closed.
And you HAVE to have left the UK/EU at least 14 days before you fly to the US.

Nothing is 100%, as you can probably guess given how the last 18 months have played out.
Yes, they are wearing masks indoors again at present.

Will the WSOP 2021 still be going ahead ? Any news or rumours it could be cancelled ?
