3,400 in the middle
Board -
Rhodes checked, Adam Picken bet out 2,850. Damien Rhodes check raised to 6,100.
Picken pulled his chips back, and made it 12,200 to play.
Rhodes folded, Picken was about to muck I feel before noticing me, and showed for a beautiful river 3bet bluff.

All the best of luck to Nick Yalden and Andy McLeod. Both Swindon legends! Well both from Swindon anyway .

Tighty, if possible when the tournament starts, can we have a picture of Nick Yalden from the KC club in Swindon. Its Nicks debut at DTD as he is normally found cleaning out the DC / NL games at KCs, either that or hes dishing out money to put people back in the game so he can take it again. Good player, hard to read, the south wests answer to Ali Mallu.

Nice guy, very very generous, therefore, in the break call him over and show him this post, and tell him Quinny says he should donate £20 to Blonde updates. By the time the £20 has been handed over, he would have earned that back in interest from coutts & co. Nick has only recently dropped off the top 100 rich list.

Good luck all who are playing!

Here he is (someone text him to deliver me the update fee please lol)

With what must have been 18,000 in the middle, the board read J-J-K-J-2.
Paul Mallett bet out 7,050, Gary Wilson found a call with QQ, Mallett nodded and mucked.

Dean Morris has been showing his trademark flair, with trademark results

Nigel Ventre raises to 450 at 75-150

Morris calls with a slight scowl, all bristling intent

flop

Ventre leads for 550, Morris quickly calls

turn

Ventre checks, Morris seizes on this weakness and with an almost imperceptible floaty glint in his eye Morris makes it 900

The glint disappears when Ventre calls

river

Ventre checks

Morris tries again, this time 2,100

Ventre check raises to 5,000 and Morris frowns, the familiar frown of a man who has been stuck in a car with Pizzled and celtic on the long journey here

A bit of a pause for effect, a consideration of other courses of action and then the meek fold so beloved of Luton opponents the Home Counties over.

Well played Dean.

Up to 245 players at the end of level 2. Quite a turnout

One exit, in two levels

15,000 in the middle
Board -  two hearts
Andrew Sherwood bet 4,000, Stuart Guite casually flicked in 15,000.
Sherwood counted his 24k stack, counted some more, played with his chips, counted again, counted a final time before calling
Sherwood -
Guite -
River   means Guite up to 65k, Sherwood down to 700.

We are now on a 20 minute break

Last hand before the break down to 21k. Raised 400 under the gun with AK. Next player 3 bets to 1100, mid position limps. I 4 bet to 3200, call call. KK3 flop. Check, check 1k mid position. Call call.
Turn 2, check all round. River 5, I lead for 6k fold and a call.
Wiiii up to 38k.
