We has a nut draw with the best position to have a good hand on this board and he is capped at AJ. Someone do the maths for me but iirc we dont need a helluva lot of folds to be completely fine here.

And he is definitely capable of being fos.

I definitely felt the pressure on the deep and seemingly tough 2/5.
I say seemingly because there were a couple of splashy players, 4 nits (inc me) and a couple in the middle who played a few hands horribly.

Fairly sure I could've grinded a steady profit on that game, but when I got to 4-500bbs I know I would've been put under much more pressure than a usual 1/2.

the challenge was fun for a couple of hours.

Just played a small hu game with 'noodle stop'.. Managed to get a good seat draw with chicken rice and red Thai curry.
Then started pretty strong and ground him down to a bowl in only 10mins.. Finished ot off with a delicious chicken, pepper and rice combo strike right to the gullet.

Smiley

Now at the hippo awaiting my 'yellow jersey' (24hr free rake) draw at 2pm.

Get in!
Ed??

Eh? Did I have a bink that I don't even know about?!

Must admit,  it's a very subtle brag if I don't even know I made it!

in for 500 in hippo, did not win rake free race. Sigh.

Lost KK vs A5o on 734cc J 2 for a medium one..

Possibly a fold Orr, he cc, cc, donk.. Thought I saw a live tell, wrong way in this case.

Have him two to my right so I can continue to pound him when suitable.

Had KK three times today, two in SB and both were 3bt and got folds..

sorry, rec non pro daft question

When it comes AAKss and he raises your post flop bet, he's only ever doing that with an Ace right? He's calling with a King, any underpair, any worse flush draw than you, isn't he?

So when you then apply maximum pressure, i think that was the phrase you used, you are playing for stacks with Q-2ss on a paired board against a made hand?

Hopefully this is because of the ever value heavy ranges, more disciplined play (mostly) and regular winning sessions im having in London town.

Its going well but not a live pro yet.

I accept his range will be A heavy.. But we had played on the table a few hours and had played very differently vs each other, even exchanging a little glance, wink, nod and chip change.
He knows that I know he is a decent player and all that.

I know this sounds like a JB post of the past. Almost word for word.

But it really was a levelling spot with a decent draw when I genuinely believe he was 50/50 on folding. Which if he does fold ever, makes our play pretty profitable.

In retrospect last night though i prefer 3b flop and shove turn..

On the Q turn he is chopping vs every A and losing to my premiums.  i think this line gets much more folds.

Thoughts??
(other than fold pre ofc)

ok. I might be wrong here, but I just wondered why you are taking a high variance line (I think) in a game that presumably you must beat...so play smaller ball in these marginal spots no?
