That sound great. What do you have to do at 10 NL and 25 NL to move up to 50NL then 100nl. Is it a certain bankroll amount you get too or just have shown a certain profit over an amount of hands.

BR building..

But pretty optimistic about 25nl as I just don't 'blow' like I used to... its gone from the 1 in 100 it got 'down' to.... to now being like 1 in 5k hands.

Obv though when I pick good enough spots, it gets through and then becomes 'heroic' Tongue

Back in London for a couple of days..

At the Empire for my first session as the hippo game had just broken.

Had a great time in Birmingham over the weekend, felt a bit crappy busting the tournament in the style I did. But I still feel good about not bluffing my chips away, now its more a case of measuring those spots better though.

The game here is only 4 handed at the moment, its pretty soft but also super shallow.

Likely going to the Vic unless something changes soon.

Really do need to work out a way to play more in London, being close enough to use the tube is so good.

Game woke up, and we have some really talkative hero's..

One on my left is a very stereotypical X kind of guy. Hopefully I can get some ££ off him by making big bets in spots that 'dont make sense' to quote him.

Cheesy

Winning a little, but looks like its turned into a good game.

You have a full time job mate? You always seem to be playing live and I can only manage like 3 days a week with current working conditions ha!

Wondering if you do shift work or something or if work are very accommodating to your needs  Wink

I have a couple of weeks off work.. Because im travelling away with work a lot, when im back I have to use my leave.  And last year I had so much left over that I need to make an 'effort' to use it.

Sigh..

Running good so far today.. Up a chunk.
Just made a decent fold, J9o on A73J9

checked down to river, lead from SB and a raise in front of me..

I know the guy in front thinks the SB is fos, but also know he's never bluffing. So I sigh fold and he shows me a 3.
Nice set, sir.

Just finished my empire session.
£1/2
In 400
out 1705
played till 1630.

Think I played a close to perfect session, active enough to never get credit but made so few cbets/ semi bluffs that most got through with no problems.. Played a couple of marginal spots really well.
(Q9 cbet/ shove on 983cc in straddled pot for 100bbs. - knew he had 8x/ worse 9. - correct)
raise, check, bet, bet Q10 on Q67ss x x vs same guy.

Really happy with my play after the weekend. Clearly playing well deep in cash games atm, need to work on tournament play.more though.

Thinking about doing something social in London tonight.. Might come back to LS for a show/ cinema..

Sat down at the empire for todays grind..

Table seems a little interesting..

Couple of decent stacks, clearly playing from the night before, and instantly spot the 'big stack' of 450bbs , young 20something unshaven, dishevelled, holding his cards, stacks in 20, 3bts SB to my first open..
HELLO mr reg.

Now lets see how good you are.

Seems ok in a few hands I've seen, sizings are nice.

hmmm.... Just read a piece in 'bluff' by Nick W about dick waving..
#mustnotwaveback

Other than that, used him to top up to a decent stack on my second button.

What do you mean there? He doesn't seem like a good reason to top up in The Empire, last time there i probably had 5+ better spots at all times, never mind on my left.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

I took it to imply that our hero had won a decent pot from 'young 20something unshaven, dishevelled, holding his cards, stacks in 20, 3bts SB to my first open..'

[ ] played a pot vs the young guy

Played pretty tight as the game started to blow.
I did however get the whole table straddling every hand, then nitted up!

At one point this following happened
straddle £5, call, call, btn 15, SB (young guy) 47, call, fold to 2nd limper all in 345

O
Raiser folds, kid tank calls and snap all in 420 behind, call.

Limp/ shove - 89o
Kid - AKo
Snapper - KJo.

Wiiiiiii

Board runs out with the 8 in the window

8K5dd (89+ KJ have a diamond each)

Turn diamond, river diamond

Cheesy
KJ scooooops. He's at the end of a 48hr work shift+ poker session and in for 3k sumhow.

Cheesy

Finished up
In 850, out 371.
Sad

Tried to bluff the snapper by raise/ call, call, call, raising

64cc on A95 7 Q.

He sighed the river off with QJ.

Should've raised turn ffs!
