Kobayashi throwing it away. Would be disappointed if thread had a gp bet at all in these conditions. It's a bookies benefit.

Voice of reason. In an unpredictable season in a race with (probable) unpredictable conditions doesn't this make a > 3000/1 shot value?

The bookies are more likely to get prices wrong if conditions are unusual than if they are standard. It looks a reasonably well thought out bet to me.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Raindance for the 80-1 shot.

We have seen so much rain up here the last week, I'd be pretty shocked if this goes ahead.

I wouldn't. No Swann to keep run-rate down and England can't lose the series, just doesn't seem value to me. Plus likely it could be influenced by rain - Duckworth-Lewis could screw you.

Some bookies are doing offers relating to Hamilton and/or Button doing well on Sunday. Does this add much value?
In a word, no. Although dependent on Sunday's weather, I would look at Button if it's not TOO wet - see Canada GP 2011.

Kobayashi has a five place grid penalty I think so he is pretty much certain to not be value to win the race and I would check the rules but if he has to start on pole rather than have fastest qualifying time then it is impossible. Pretty sure it is the latter but worth checking.
