who will take Palace's pens?
If he plays no reason to change from last season and jedinak is there?
Gayle next up but he won't be there or not on pitch much or Murray who definitely looks like he won't be there

Surely Cabaye will take their pens now.

Wickham has 11 goals in a 94 game career. Does going from sunderland to palace transform that scoring rate? Not for me.

Jedinak has an excellent record from the spot
Unless it is a big name striker can't remember any player for any team being taken off pens in similar situations.
Probably not tighty as I say I don't rate him one bit but he is not a 250s shot should be with the 100s range for me
If jedinak was injured or leaving then I think 250s is a must bet as it is maybe worth a small one.

A lot as sub, I would think. Without getting a good run of games. Also in a very low scoring Sunderland side. And he's still very young. I wouldn't read TOO much into the bare figures.
I guess the key thing is penalties. For one of these long shot guys to get into the places, penalties is a huge help. And I'm guessing Jedinak will still be on them?

He's never scoring 25 goals for Palace, is he?
15 would be a shock (especially if he's not on pens). Palace only scored 47 goals last season and we'd be asking Pardiola to go gung ho to get something like 25 of 60.
At 250/1, furrlickittin if you like, but can he really have a 1% chance of the golden boot?

He doesnt need to score 25 goals the argument put up originally by someone who said outsiders were a good idea in this market said we need to aim for 15 which is a possibility albeit unlikely.
Think Ant has more than "proven" his Palace knowledge to have a bet

It has been as low as 14 goals for a top 4 but slightly higher teens normally gets there.

If i offered you 30/1 he finishes in the top 4 would you all be as keen to back him? That is effectively what you are doing backing him ew at 250/1 as you are paying double for the place part of the bet. In the last 6 seasons (which are clearly the most relevant form guide asthe finances of football have changed massively even in the past 10 years so looking more than 10 years ago really doesn't matter imo) 17 goals was needed as a minimum every year to get a place and twice 17 was a multiple dead heat for 4th.

Not really but it is not the worst bet in the world, we can all debate it all night but for what i gather will likely be a £2.50/£5 each way max bet seems a bit futile.

Sorry, HP. I thought we were shying away from the each way bets in this market where there was no chance of the win. I saw that mentioned the other day and thought that's what had happened.
Agree on Ant, of course. There's no one palacier.
Can we start the football season now, please? Preferably without Terry Va Va Vroom Hendry...

Fair point.
Good debate though.

That best league in the world as is starting to annoy.
I think we did but then i saw someone suggesting it was a good each way market after i said i was not so sure, thinking they have done more work on it than me (i have done zero) i was thinking my first impressions were wrong.
