This'll be interesting.  Looks to me like it was the shadow of the grandstand it swerved.  Good luck to anyone with a few bob resting on this whatever way you want the decision to go.

1.28/1.3

Must be backing Frankie's Kavanagh QC impression.

lol lets see what the irish do.......

Makes any difference that Found got second?

1/3 the race result stays...

(This one might be through my wallet...Rotten aftertiming, sorry)

It was strange because he looked like getting claimed but flew after he hit free eagle. Fact that its golden horn causing interference has a big factor (he says talking through his wallet)

Found getting second only means that GH would be placed third. The most important factor is winning distance.

I think the fact that Frankie had his whip in his right hand and the horse jinked towards it saved GH's bacon.

Would have been a travesty had Found been awarded the race but had Free Eagle finished second it might well have got the race, all imho of course.

I doubt the Irish race has done much to help lift the spirits of Ralph Beckett or Atzeni.

Maybe gives them a bit of hope for the appeal, or false hope, even.

Ouch!   I've hated all stewards since they threw Taufan's Melody (20/1) out at Ascot 18 years ago this month.  Not that I'm bitter or anything.  Still tilts me just typing this.   I got some (but not total) compensation when it later won the Caulfield Cup but that's another story altogether.

PS:  If my bit of this post is in grey can someone tell me how to pick up a quote and then type my bit in a different colour background please?

You've got the quote facility sorted Dekka.

What is the reason for your alias, if I may ask?

My undisputed highlight of today's footie was the toffee's fans serenading maureen with a lusty rendition of "You're getting sacked in the morning", priceless.

I spent years DJing, compering and doing a bit of stand up on cruises/holiday camps/clubs etc & Andy Dekka was a stagename.  You prob sussed my Sky alias via my avi as we chatted earlier.

Just call me Andy - it's probably easier!

When Chelsea got their goal, their own fans were singing "we are staying up"

For the season bet, Roma won 2-0 today, with Juventus only drawing 1-1 at home to Chievo. So far so good.

jockey believes his own bullshit lol. Poor call

Really?  Or talking through your wallet?  I didn't have a bet in the race so i have no financial bias.

FWIW I was on Field of Athenry, so no wallet chat from me. If you push out from a position you can't win from and then win, and that push was illegal, you have to be disqualified.

Those aren't the rules.  The stewards have to be certain that the interfered with horse would have won had the interference not taken place.  Thousands of similar incidents have therefore not resulted in a reversal.
