We backed Ozil for most Prem assists

we did?

not that i am aware of, or is recorded in the admin.

if it was suggested, which i recall, its a miss on our behalf

Looks like we can blame Tal for missing it Wink

Ozil is 12/1 with PP. He's 6/1 2nd fav with the 3 other bookies offering prices.
I'm pretty sure the 6/1 is the right price, ifr not shorter. If Tal can snap up any of the 12/1, Fred should certainly be on.

Thanks for the suggestion though Dazzler. Had forgotten about it until that table was posted.

Not one to complain about luck in gambling normally, but how unlucky is it that the Watford handicap bet is not winning?

For a reminder of the post that gave a bunch of us some nice positions if not for those pesky foxes:

Would seem a shame not to have Tikay looking at Watford results for the 3rd year on the trot, so I've been looking at the handicap markets.

It seems no matter how many established top European league players Watford buy their relegation odds remain unchanged.  The Spread firms are spitting on them allowing you to buy at 35 points!  Handicap market seems most fun way to play at 15/1 they get a walloping 48 point start.  I am piling in the spread but for handicap I can see them finishing between 10th and 15th which should win with that start.  Recommend £50 for the season sweat.

Murray 361446
Sinfield 278353
Ennis 79898
Fury 72330
Hamilton 48379
Frome 39007
Farah 31311
Whitlock 25925
Rutherford 23492

Very interesting this - even as high profile a person as JEH after winning a world title just after having a baby basically picks up no votes.

The northern egg chaser block vote nearly got their guy home. Worth bearing in mind for next year if there's a similar normally ignored sport that gets someone nominated.

Well Baldwin lets us down, finishing with 45 yards on 4 receptions. He wsnt really targetted much, with Kearse and Lockett seing a lot more action than our man today.

Sorry folks!

Leeds Rhinos are trying to get a campaign going to get Kevin Sinfield as SPOTY.  He has been backed down to 22/1 best.  I don't know if there is much mileage left in that price.  I took a bit of insurance personally.

Now 13/14.5 on Betfair, shorter than Lewis.  Stans will offer 16/1 to people they are going to ban 5 minutes after taking the bet.

For AndrewT

I should have pushed him a bit more.  We have seen these campaigns before with AP McCoy and for those with long memories, Bob Nudd.

Who he? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Nudd

In 1991, he received the most votes ever in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award but was denied victory by the BBC, who ruled that a campaign to vote for him in the weekly fishing newspaper Angling Times was against competition rules.

I am not sure why AP McCoy got away with all the campaigning and Bob Nudd didn't, or if Sinfield would be DQ'd if he topped the voting.

Edit.  Here is why Bob Nudd failed.  he was on his way to winning the BBC award until Auntie's celebrity-obsessed mandarins discarded all the ballots cast on forms printed in the Angling Times.

Sorry for the link to the daily mail.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Looks all mid/wide at BV bags this morning.

Hope everyone made a few quid on the wides at Crayford last night.  No t1/2 winners all night.

Yes, I've got your Stella here. Let me know when you are down this way next.

Will be at Perry Barr weds afternoon for the bags track championship on my way to mums for xmas.  Convenient mid way stop off.  Very decent of them putting it there for me to watch my ante post xmas money hopefully win.  Assume it will be free to get in as it is a bags meeting technically.  Should be a decent crowd there with it being on Sky Sports and all the dog presenters and Matt Chapman should be there with no horse racing that day.  If anyone fancies it pm me.

Sent you a pm.

What do you think the odds are on me getting a reply Chompy ?

Infinity x pi r squared.

Incredible numbers for Sinfield. Campaigns defo work in these spots.

We have another angle to go with backing the youngest, prettiest, most vacuous contestants in reality shows with a free voting app (whatever that is) for Android and iOS (whatever they are).
