Haven't posted in here before, but got recommended the site by a poker playing friend, am I ok to post a link to me (not massively successful, although I did stupidly start in the post-season) blog instead of posting bets individually?
If not then i'll just chuck a few of the selections I waded through last night on the Superbowl
Hello welcome along
tell us a bit about yourself please? NFL fan? other sports?
blog, ok then, why not, interested to see it.
why don't you give us the best few bets, with explanations, from the blog and we can take a look.....saves me having to make too many judgement calls on which to do.

Thanks for the Marcus Peters bet Tighty.
Waking up to find you have a 28/1 winner is always nice.

Welcome aboard, & I echo what Tighty wrote.
By tradition, newbies to Fred get their first recommend accepted, so stick a few up if you wish, along with justifications, but pick one of them & we'll get it on.

Yeah i'm an NFL fan, been following it since I was a kid (Bengals fan...for the brilliant reason they had a tiger uniform and I was 5, so just carried it on from there) Really got into it over the past year mainly due to Fantasy football which is stupidly addictive, so did a few tips on a different blog which the guy closed down, started my own at the start of the playoffs, which as said isn't really the best time to start up, but I've kept it going, did get 5/5 one of the early kick offs recently, and hit a nice Both players to score, trixie myself before the playoffs started. - Listen to hours of NFL podcasts each week as I get a lot of free time walking around (joys of being a postman) so it's just collating and figuring them out
Blogwise, I like to think that although the best haven't been landing as i'd hope, that my writeups at least justify the reasons I'm picking those specific bets, and hopefully once the season starts again later in the year I can get some momentum going with it all (
https://nfltipsblog.wordpress.com/
)
I bet on NFL, Horses and obviously Football, so been interesting reading the last week or so on here and seeing what everyone is talking about.
Best bets is blatantly going to be Cam Newton MVP although it's hardly a groundbreaking selection and not exactly big odds at 8/11 - If they win, he'll get the award, and they should win. (He won the regular season MVP last night too)
Followed by the Special teams/Defensive TD at 13/8 - Denver Defence is the only reason they've come this far, and the Carolina D (Kuechly specifically) has had a pick 6 in the last 2 games

Shortest touchdown under 1.5 yards is a market I recall a Fred Elder promoted last year (not least because I backed it and watched the interception on the last play of the game with horror...). I can't find the stats though.
In any event, one bookie is keen to agree with him:
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/carolina-panthers-at-denver-broncos/shortest-touchdown-yardage
Stan strongly favours the under, pushing it in to 8/11.
This means there's a pure 100% book now, with 11/10 over and 10/11 under.
Under? What do you think?

I like first offense play of the game: rush at 8/13 a lot

nice and conservative, don't take a risk first play. give it to jonathan stewart or
Anderson

Defensive Touchdown only that I can find...

I'd be concerned a little about recency bias but it's a standout price with laddies and it is also in line with our MVP bets (a defensive touchdown from Carolina anyway)

Agree with first play being a rush, can't see Grandpa Manning being keen on the ball being snapped over his head again if they get the ball!!

For the record, when Cam is standing there on the MVP podium in alligator skin trousers with a Mink hat on, its Tal that doesn't think its a stone cold certainty that he wins it

Most of the tips I post are from bet365 (I'm not successful enough to be restricted anywhere
) and I prefer their site to the others, they also have a ton of markets, and especially for 2 or more TD scores, they're by far the best prices

unfortunately right in the early days of the thread, when life was simpler and we gambolled like spring lambs in fields of luscious punting grass, we were a bit remiss and pounded bet365 and got restricted
If there is one account we'd like back, its bet365. I reckon some (cough) might be on their 5th or 6th bet365 account by now. Tough to keep them open, and worth avoiding stuff that might close it, if you want some basic advice
quick tip for you, on the first page of this thread is a list of where we can use and where we can't. Half the battle for the thread these days is getting on
