Settlement Day

I'm a day late due to workload, but if Fred owes anyone for bets placed in February, please let me know & I'll get it sorted.

Quick thank you to Mere for the monthly figures, & I'm glad he spotted that £20 error, it was worrying me, cant be having duff numbers.

Another good month, too, what a great thing this thread is, the recommendations are so good, we are blessed to have so many knowledgeable experts covering so many different sports. Long may it last.

Hi Tikay

I am pretty sure I owe for something we did on Bet365 literally months ago?
I think I reinvested a little but I have no clue now, is there a record of this so I can send it over?

For the darts boys.....

I may be missing something, but have BLose removed their averages match bets for the PL? I can't seem to find them.

Let's hope not, they have been a veritable gold mine.

Do you want us to just potter along until Vegas?

If Arsenal win the league I'll be sending you a lump back, so might as well wait until then.

Fine by me, Mark, if that suits you. I know you keep good records, that's usually my worry, that something will get forgotten.

"If" Arsenal win the league? Do behave. "When", please.

I've been waylaid for a week up at UKPC, so have barely opened blonde for a week. After the Man U defeat on Sunday, I was itching to read the Arsenal thread, but I did not dare open it. I can probably guess who said what, though. Wink

Loved that scene when LvG did his acting bit. You'd never see Arsene do that, proper Manager, see?

Yes, naturally, but a few more appear to be seeing the light. Grin

Hi Stu,

Pretty sure you owe me £700. Might be more. Send me £500 & we'll call it square.

Tighty will know, he puts these things on the Spready.

Even MORE people want him to stay for another 5, 10 years? Excellent.

One post allowed even though i promised Adz i would never post again.

I dont always agree with your "style" of posting but you certainly add  to the forum , please post more.

Several people said the same thing, many more thought it, because Argue - how DID he get that name? - is Mr Marmite. I expect just as many were sad to see him post again.

I have no idea what went off a while back between Argue & Adz, & I definitely don't want to, but sparks flew regularly, & that's fine, both are strong minded & not afraid to air their views vigorously.

We lose contributors such as Argue & Adzy - & many others - from time to time, it's inevitable. But here's the thing, it's like Hotel California, you can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave. And they don't leave, they lurk, every last one of them. Every ex Elder still lurks here, & it makes no sense.

So we all end up being denied the benefit of their wisdom, whilst they surely can't feel comfortable taking but not giving.

We need you guys, we do, you bring so much to this place.

Ignore each other if you have to, but stay around, you are very important & people here really appreciate the help they get.

Next up, Cheltenham, which always scares the life out of me. Remember our first Chelters, when we backed almost the entire field in the opener? Sheesh, I still have nightmares about that. The Boys got it right though.

Lets be clear. I never asked Argue to leave. He said he had had enough. I could have been a right twat and posted the content of his PMs, but I tend to only get stirred into action when the haters hate.

Unlike several on here, I admit my mistakes and my shortcomings. Yes, I admit, some of my bets may not have the VALUE stamp all over them, and just like laying Everton last night, they don't all come in.

One thing that is true though, is that I have made plenty of cash for a good few TFT/racing/golf thread readers. You only have to read The Shrewd Fenman's homage to me in his signature, to see that.

I have asked him to take it down, basically because I am far too modest, but his fan worship, and enduring love for me, won't allow him to do so. Wink

I love the thread, and all the recommends on here and never wanted anyone to leave, just for them to leave me alone. Simples really.  Smiley Smiley

Bugger. Was hoping for a lot more than that.

Stu, if you are happy to continue helping us out now & then, hang on to the £24, & I'm in credit.

You still have a fully functioning 365 account, then? Elite company that, you, Lord Sequin & dear Marky Mc Mark.

Look at it in a positive light, think how much you'll save.

One post allowed even though i promised Adz i would never post again.

Everton nearly 4/6 away at Villa.  Stoke evens at HOME to villa at the weekend.  No value in the EPL though.  Price is always right.  Anyone who says the EPL markets are always right please talk me through this one in large mathematical detail please.  The EPL markets are full of mug cash and the easiest market in soccer to beat.

These prices make Everton close to a 4/9 shot to beat stoke at home.

Just to clarify as some people seem to be suggesting I said to lay Everton last night.  No recommendation was given as to where the value was in the above post.  I was simply highlighting how out of equilibrium epl markets can be and how much value can exist and does exist in a market where some people suggest the price is always right.  I am still awaiting a response from the price is always right in the epl fan base to talk me through the above situation given Stoke and Everton are very close to being two teams of roughly equal ability.

I did make a mistake in my original post however as I meant to say Everton would be a 4/9 poke on a neutral ground given the relative prices not at home.  If they were at home given those prices to stoke they would be closer to 1/4 poke.

As we know two teams of roughly equal ability the home team should be around the 6/5 5/4 mark.
