For my money, McCarthy and Hennessey have been the worst goal keeping combo in the league this year. Hennessey was getting praised but has made at least one howler a game. Is he Welsh number 1?

http://www.oddschecker.com/cheltenham-festival/fred-winter-juvenile-hurdle/winnerLe Curieux has had an owner change to a certain Jp Mcmanus (according to french le gallop website) not reported over here yet but some shrewdies have got wind on twitter hence the blue already. Think if we take £20 at 25s with the various firms still priced at that we beat the sp comfortably. SUGGEST £20 WIN ONLY LE CURIEUX 25S VARIOUS

Not sure why Speroni is not playing at all, a few Palace fans have suggested it is because Pardew does not like the fact he is more popular than he is
This is one of his favourite tricks. Turn fans favourites against the fans. He will probably let speroni go in the summer and blame him for player power in the dressing room or something.

It does seem strange. McCarthy started the season as No 1, made a few errors and was replaced by Hennessy. But Speroni was No 2 and on the bench for games when Hennessy played. Now that Hennessy was unfit, he goes back to McCarthy who then costs them the game? Also Speroni is a few appearances short of a few different Palace appearances records. Complete speculation on my part but could Speroni be due something, maybe trigger a new contract or bonus or something, if he plays X more games for Palace?

Yes Dazzler Bolasie is that important, (i refer back to the Zaha/Bolasie combo being awesome generally - I can't believe how lucky Palace were to have those two from the championship onwards) however despite Puncheon not scoring he was quick and a ball retainer, and McCarthur is an exceptional player the more i think about it. A really nice complete midfielder with great composure and range of passing.
If somehow Palace could put out their best 11 or close to it all season we would be top 8 probably (well this season anyway imo), start taking them away and the cracks show.
Mutch/Sako/Lee/Jedinak are not condusive to a quick ball retentive breaking style and are LIGHT YEARS away from Bolasie/Puncheon/Zaha/Cabaye/McCarthur. Ledley is the only competant midfield back up generally at that level. Puncheon back soon helps. I think a clear out is needed in the summer with topping up also needed to our starters because ultimately Puncheon's form is only going one way too.
We now have a perky Wickham (if he can stay fit!!!) and Adebayor looking lively. We are just struggling under the passing slowness of Jedinak and other back ups, but today the win was there anyway without silliness. Liverpool offered the best part of fuck all most of the game until our keeper mistake.
Onto Speroni and its an interesting one. He divided opinion while in goal last season and the one before. He was competant but i think just lacking as a mid table prem keeper. It's tough to put a finger on it exactly but just that with some goals conceded even though generally blame couldn't be placed on Speroni from a commentators point of view, better keepers keep the same shot out. And that would grate some fans, but others looking in wouldn't quite realise why we were so upset.
He is a Palace legend though and his form in our playoffs and in some games in the prem has been immense. I actually think Hennessey is the best of a mediocre bunch and its easy to hype Speroni up while in absence but I like backing Hennessey to maybe iron out his poor edges because there are some saves he makes Speroni would get nowhere near.
He's not the finished article at this level at all, but I think there is a small chance he could be with time - a man to back of the three. With Speroni that's a no, and McCarthy always fills me with the jitters generally and has some real fundamental flaws I hated when he started early in the season. One being pushing the ball back into a danger zone with a parry, tip that for a corner ffs!
Will keep a look out for value with Palace, and start looking at value elsewhere too to contribute more.

F1 spread markets are out on Spin if anyone is interested. McClaren pitched at the 130 mark. Rosberg 45 points behind Lewis if Peter is correct that Rosberg will dominate him this year.
On McLaren I don't really see why Button is at 57 and Alonso is at 80 in a lowish scoring car?

Unfortunately there's nothing anywhere as near as good as what we had last year with Force India & McLaren. Although those two were placed in-season, so we may well get some big value then. The only worthwhile spot I can see is selling McLaren @ 119, which I've done at £20 per point. I would be amazed if McLaren score over 50 .. Other spots that have slim value are selling Ferrari @ 518 points, or selling Alonso @ 72. I won't be betting on these two personally though. I tend to only do spreads when I'm near certain. Thanks for pointing out the market had gone up DungBeetle P.S. TFT really needs to get a regular working spread account, SPIN have a lot of value race-by-race which we should take advantage of!
