Anyone with a range of betting accounts should back ben currie to score a try for warrington against wakefield tomorrow at the 2's wth a certain bookie. Shouldn't be bigger than evens.
Does a max bet of £5 sound normal for a completely clean account on this one?

Very good work on the winners today Smiley

I have no idea as I have never used that particular bookie.

How about Matty Russell for the same price 2/1?

Newcastle losing kills lots of accas too

dream day for the layers

When does the Toon thread get a few 'sads' thrown into the title?

Honorary president of the thread Sir Alan Pardew

Cheesy

Think Iron's idea was a little OTT for a first alteration.

I prefer others as he has no bulk to him. I will look at getting Fred on Clark or Sandow tomorrow, maybe even Ratchford. So many of Warrington's breaks come close to the play the ball. But it could well be a 50+ score, that anyone may score.

wp for the Leigh bet today. Your Rugby League is a must bet for me but I missed that one as I was offline...

Cheers again hector. I do feel uneasy about taking from thread without contributing so I must work harder. Bit of a one trick pony with Palace, but it may be that they are opposable going forward. Heard reports that they were utterly dreadful today. We have Bolasie wanting to move and a striker in Wickham knowing we are looking for his replacement. I am hoping a lot of our poor play today is a result of the summer window turbulence.

Can you give a better hint of which bookie?

A couple of years ago, when you used to write war and peace about Palace, I took note of how good defensively you said they were and I started to back Palace to win 1 - 0  and did very well. i seem to remember they were about 20 -1 to win away at City by that score and ended up drawing 0-0 with numerous close calls. So people can contribute in many ways without tipping as such.

I'm going to suggest we have a bet on Byeong-Hun An to win the Olympic golf.

With many of the big names missing this week I think Byeong-Hun An is going to see this as a huge opportunity to take advantage of that a put in a very respectable performance. Once becoming the youngest ever US Amateur winner at 17 there were high hopes for Ben An. He went on to win the BMW with a -21 at Wentworth in 2015 and lost in a playoff this year in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Currently ranked 35th in the world and having very good stats off the tee (Driving distance 25th) and ranked 42nd on birdie average. I feel he has a good chance of a medal here.

Further to this, South Koreans become exempt from Conscription, other wise known as mandatory military service if they are to win an Olympic medal. Byeong-Hun An will be well aware of this with both of his parents winning one in table tennis in 1988.

Byeong-Hun An 45/1 - Sportingbet
£10 ew

Solid first day in the golf.

Byeong-Hun An -3
Colsaerts -3
Lingmerth -2

Leader -8

Meh.  No progress, just the order switched slightly.

Byeong has failed to bounce, as has Colsaerts.

Lingmerth has been on a minor charge up to -6.  That puts him in joint 4th.  6 off the lead so would be catchable, if the two leaders weren't Rose and Stenson.

Minor sweat then.

Kjt needs a psychologist more than a coach. More public torture in a field event

I know this is a long term bet but 11/10 Wenger NOT to be in charge of Arsenal in the opening game next season @ 11/10? Surely that's a bet especially as his contract ends at the end of this season?
http://sports.coral.co.uk/football
If they don't finish top 4, he surely won't be (unless they win the Champions League which is highly unlikely). If they win League Cup/FA Cup it's not not enough either I think.
I'm a huge fan of Wenger but bar them winning the league (or going very close), how can he still be there next year?
What do Arsenal fans think? What is the minimum they need to do for him to stay? Top four and Totteringham Day? Is that enough? What about top four and no Totteringham Day? He's gone?
I can't see this as anything other than odds on.

I've barely watched any of this Olympiad (is that the correct word?) but it was both horrible to watch & compelling at the same time.

It reminded me of when I used to go Motor racing a lot, I always stood on the most dangerous bend, & whilst I never wanted to see anyone get hurt, I loved seeing a crash.

She just seemed to mentally implode, poor kid, she was in bits. Great TV, but horrible, too.

This.

And whilst Ant writes in the same way as Mr Ambo talks - at great length - it's always interesting to read, & at least when he gives us a bet (or suggests "no bet") we know it has been properly researched & is not a "whim" bet.
