The Blount bets were a victim of the unexpected gameflow

To start with the Patriots had less success with the run than expected, only ran 9 times in the first quarter for 27 yards

He then fumbled, unusually, and was benched for a series

By the time he was out of the dog house they were 14-0 down then 21-3 down and the game plan had no time for much running game

This can happen in NFL games. When later in the game the comeback was on it (necessarily) had to be in the receiving game so Blount was marginalised.

Spare a thought for another running back James White. 110 yards receiving, three touchdowns and doesn't get the MVP.

Interesting read about the Intel drones used at halftime (300 of them made the American flag in the Sky).

Got around flight restrictions by taping the part on the top of the stadium. Then suspended her from a crane and simulated a jump in from the roof "live"

Even better - I had it in my mind the Hooper bet was £10.

I was on Blount carries as opposed to yards, and thought the same, doubt many saw the Falcons jumping out to that kind of lead, thought he may of got a short yardage TD for me right at the end, but was in as a distaction (still not entirely sure the ball crossed the plane before the knee went down...). And when Blount left the game, I'd of thought my Lewis anytime would of come into play, but he was a bit part too, apparently suffered a hamstring strain which put him out. Can't be many players having the game White did that wouldn't get the MVP. But I guess 466 passing yards and leading a 25 point comeback at the age of 39 to win your 5th ring trumps it!

Did Pats win bring more than the Atlanta win would have done?

not much in it. £207.74 on the Pats was sort of sized that way*

* tries to get it through, gives up mid sentence

Cheesy

Wonderful game to watch. Falcons made too many simple errors when ahead (time outs wasted, poor marking, daft penalties, not making sure of a field goal to get 11 ahead), which you could say means they deserved the bad luck with the catch from the erstwhile butterfingered Edelman.

No complaints. Delighted to have positions on both participants in the big dance.

Looks like the latte budget for the summer is nearly covered, tikay.

Not one from my own collection. Just a generic Google image.

Amazing what you can find in the internet.

Paddy has a market for Superbowl advert with the most views. The Budweiser ad is pretty political. Involves immigration. Hot topic at the, and has the most views at the moment. It's 4/1 on Paddy if you want something frankly, ridiculous to bet on

This one won Smiley

You said it was frankly ridic to bet on it but if you could have got on the price it was probably the best bet of the superbowl given your logic and thinking pre event.  Great spot.

I don't like the novelty bets at all hence calling it a ridiculous one. But yeah seeing as it was leading already by a considerable amount I probably shouldn't judge the content of a bet just the fact they miss-priced it and it was an easy win. Money is money!

(Especially given the fact I'd done a 1,200 word write up on novelty bets before doing my proper write up :/ )
