Great sports science article on rest/scheduling in the NBA.  Obviously it crosses over to any sport (apart from probably snooker)!

http://www.oddschecker.com/politics/british-politics/stoke-on-trent-central-by-election/winning-party

Big move on Labour today.  Living around the Stoke area for 17 years on and off only the racist angle turning out in their masses could get UKIP in surely?  This seat is as left as it comes.  Huge labour voting ethic minorities in this seat as well who won't be a fan of UKIP at all.  I just can't see how Labour doesn't win this seat.  If they don't it really must be game over for labour and corbs.  Even giving the huge leave % in this area it is so hard to see the silent lefties not still coming out in force for Labour here.  I don't think Nuttall will go down that well in Stoke and getting rid of the champagne socialist Hunt will definitely make a fair few proper stokies vote labour again.  He was a comical image for the labour party in Stoke who literally had nothing in common with anyone in the area in the slightest and must have cost them votes in the past surely?

Few links with some cracking Stokie accents on them!

Think the move to Labour was a result of Nuttall admitting he wasnt honest about either being at Hillsborough or having friends there...not sure which. Would the Lib Dem candidate being Asian help attract votes from the community too? Can't see Labour losing but can easily see their voters not being motivated which the Lib Dems definitely will be. Either way I think the price is wrong.

Sure i am not disagreeing with your view at all.  Just adding my 2p tbh.    I couldn't back the tories if you offered me 500/1.  I am amazed they are shorter than 100/1.

Kebabs are on me.

Glad PP didn't fuck us over with that assist Smiley

You'll have your own little fan club on here at this rate - I gather plenty of Freddies followed you in.

Would it be bigger than my fan club next door?

Hasn't Brexit and Trump proved that lying doesn't damage a politician's chances any more?

Lying about Hillsborough is easier to prove than most politicians porkies. Think that's UKIP done for (in Stoke)  and probably Nuttalls career as well.

The other By-Election.....

Theresa May is visiting Copeland tomorrow – obviously the Tories believe they are going to win. The PM’s 700 mile round-trip comes with just over week left until polling day (23 February). Copeland has been Labour since the seat was created in 1983. She wouldn’t be going up there if the Tories didn’t think it was a cert….

Still 2/5 at Hills, as low as 1/5

FWIW, I received this from Matchbook yesterday.

Hi Tony,

We have now completed the migration of all sports to our brand new betting platform with the final leg being the launch of football on this new platform today.

Matchbook has spent the last year building the world's fastest betting platform and we launched this with Horse Racing in July, Tennis in October, Cricket in November, NCAA Basketball in December, and all sports are now migrated.

As of today, the 14th of February all sports betting will be on this new and improved platform.

What does this mean for me?

-   Much faster bet placement times
-  A far more reliable and resilient website
-  Better prices and more liquidity on all your favourite sports
-  More markets and more live betting

All sports are now funded through the Sports wallet and any Casino or Colossus betting is funded through the Casino wallet which can now be found on site. If you haven't already done so, you will need to transfer funds to your Sports wallet.  Simply hover over the sports wallet and then click on the transfer button. Read More here.

With all sports now migrated to the new platform and a single sports wallet we thank you for your patience over the past number of months during this transitional period and with a far better betting experience now on Matchbook we know it will have all been worth it.

Kind Regards,
Matchbook

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/borussia-dortmund-v-benfica/to-qualify

Thoughts on Borussia Dortmund to qualify at 2.1 on PP? Home advantage and 1-0 down after last night's leg. Unbeaten at home this season in the Bundesliga with a 19:5 goal record. Looks a good spot to me if we can get on.
