Why would they assume everyone keeps track of these things? I have funds across a load of different accounts and haven't had a bet in months. There'll be loads who get timed out and have their funds swiped.

Nick Goff summed up my entire thoughts on the betbright nonsense in this tweet.  What is to stop anyone doing this if Betbright can simply void ante post wagers in this manner?  It would be bad enough if the firm went bust but to receive £15m for the 'software' but not honour any outstanding bets should be a criminal offense.  In situations like this the GC should force the company to freeze any sale proceeds until all outstanding bets are settled as part of any licence agreement to be a bookmaker in the first place.
