Anyone know who bought Totesport? Think it might be easy to find out from tomorrow but nobody seems to know just now.
Apparently long term bets there will be honoured but the new site wont be accepting fixed odds bets. Seems strange.

Baldfred bought it along with the tote ten? years ago. He has given up the tote ownership now but no idea whats happened to totesport but bald definitely bought them as part of the package of buying the tote i think ten years ago.

Yes, this was the e-Mail they sent; We're excited to announce that the Tote is under new management. Our new website, with great new features, offers and insights to improve your Tote experience will be launching soon. More information on what we have in store will be with you next week. As we prepare for a new beginning at the Tote, this does mean that the current Totesport and Totepool sites will be closing on 28th January 2020. In the meantime, there are a couple of things we need to let you know: • If you have any ante-post bets still open in your account, these will still be settled as normal to your new Tote account. • Any balance in your current account will be transferred over to your new Tote account when the site is launched. • Regrettably, we will not be able to offer any fixed odds bets after the closure of the current site. • Additionally, we will no longer be able to take bets over the phone or offer a credit betting facility. All account history up to 28th January 2020 will be available from the current Totesport Customer Services team, provided by Betfred. You can reach them on 0800 032 8188 or by emailing customercare@totesport.com. If you have questions on or after 29th January, please contact your Tote Customer Care team on 0800 032 8188 (this number won’t be changing) or by emailing customercare@tote.co.uk. Thank you for choosing to bet with the Tote.

I think it was announced when the ten to follow testarted. The MD was mentioned here, and sure you can search twitter from round the time of this article. They were maybe linked on Tikay's diary when he was on a break and the riff raff moved in. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.racingpost.com/news/ten-to-follow-is-back-250000-tote-competition-to-launch-next-week/408910/amp

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

And from that we go to Alizeti https://sbcnews.co.uk/retail/2019/10/17/alizeti-enters-new-era-for-the-tote-after-finalising-takeover/Includes... This morning’s update sees Betfred close its association with the Tote, an asset the bookmaker acquired through a 2011 UK government auction for £265 million. It had been reported earlier this month that Betfred was expected to continue to manage the Tote’s services for the next 12 months.
Fred Done, Founder and Chief Executive of Betfred, added: “Through our ownership of the Tote we have made a significant contribution to racing over the last eight years. We wish Alex Frost and his team all the best and they have been very fair to deal with.”

This goes against the grain as a Wednesday fan but 33/1 Sheff Utd to win the FA Cup looks a bit of value.
Away at Reading or Cardiff in 5th round and a match of any team in 90 minutes.

Federer v Djokovic tomorrow.
I have gone for a banzai 3-0 Federer bet. Currently 33/1 with Boils. He is still just about the third best player in the world (?!) and has a very good serve. If he wins I think it has to be quick. I don't see him winning a five setter and maybe not even a gruelling four setter. But maybe he can sneak a break and a tie break or two?
Another good stat is that he hasn't retired in 1,500 matches. So if he isn't fit, he won't play and the bet is void. But if he plays he is in it for the full match.
What does everyone think?

fed 3-0 is the most likely fed win for me. So hard to see fed win in 5 against the machine of machines. I agree spreadsheets don't really apply to this game. Fed should get destroyed though in all fairness.

i said last week given the next 7 games for each team i couldn't find a better 1/50 shot than liverpool to wiin the league. They need to play like Newcastle for the rest of the season and will still win the league even if MC win out.
