Wow Stainy dog track is getting televised. I bet there is not a rougher venue in the country. A couple of Scunthorpe lads lost their lives there in the mid 90's.

Back in 1995 and tried to google it. The independent has an article but I can't open it. They were on a bus/stag trip when a mass brawl broke out. Very messy with the locals proper tooled up. They were actually crushed by the bus trying to get out of the car park.

Yes I like that one Womble.  I've also sold time of 3rd Southend goal at 82 in case they have another implosion.  8 points downside but on current form they could have conceded the 3rd after 15 mins!

I would like to suggest a tip for a different game in tonight's JPT, Southend Utd v AFC Wimbledon.

Southend claim to be fielding a strong team, they did well in the competition last season and the manager has pointed out the final is at Wembley. Wimbledon meanwhile never seem to take 'minor' cups seriously and field a mixture of first-teamers and reserves. We have been awful away this season, losing 3-1, 6-2 and 5-1. We are also handing a debut to Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz in goal. He played for my other team, Dover Athletic, in the Conference South last season. He was adequate at that level, but Dover released him as they wanted better. Dover play two levels below Wimbledon.

Southend to win is 1.67 which, while probably a banker, could be too skinny. A better value bet could be Southend to be winning at half time (2.38 BetFred) or Southend to be winning at half time/full time (2.63 BetFred).

We were losing at half time in all 3 away games. Will leave bet sizing up to you if you decide to go for either.

I've been mulling this over all day. Souhend look a good thing on paper, so does a bunch of goals in their favour. At some stage, though, Wimbledon will stop the rot, & the longer it goes on, the more likely it seems.

I've decided eventually to go the "safe" route (lose more, win less, lol at me) & just have a straight forward outright.

We have £52 @ 8/13 with Ladbrokes, Southend to win v Wimbledon tonight.
