We had a squeak with the Santi FGS banzai, a couple of shots on target while it was 0-0.

I still think it was a very big price as I'm convinced that he's on pens.

Value on toast for dinner again...

Add a tin of Tesco Finest chopped toms, that'll do nicely.

Our unders bet paid for Banzais R Us, so we ended the game ahead.

Are you aware that the 1st rule in buying tinned tomatoes is to get whole ones as they put all the **** in the chopped ones?

Objection m'lud.

Cirio filete di tomate are the bee's knees as suggested (and no doubt ignored) previously.

I wouldn't call them particularly posh as Cirio are a well-known brand but they are hard to find in Nottingham as they are not mainstream rather like myself if I might be permitted to make so bold a statement.

Just the tomato equivalent of grapefruit segments with no skin, pith or seeds.

Well worth seeking out if you are a tomato afficionado imo.

T20WC Report

England were thrashed. India made 170 and England batted like drunken sailors, albeit drunken sailors who could not play spin as they were bowled out for 80 chasing 170

Kohli scored 40, making 90 total for the tournament. He'll need a couple of big innings in the Super 8 stages and beyond for our top runscorer bet to cop. Interesting Kohli is down to 7-1 second favourite in this market and as low as 9/2 in places

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/international/twenty20-world-cup/top-batsman

In the other match Pakistan beat New Zealand, and spin came to the party there with the excellent Saeed Ajaml taking 4-30 for Pakistan

Today its the first game with real significance as WI play Ireland, the winner going through. Sadly for Ireland it's touch and go whether they have 11 fit players, their camp being laid low by a bout of stomach nasties over the weekend

The match is at 3pm today

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/international/twenty20-world-cup/ireland-v-west-indies

One bet that may be of interest. Both teams are big hitters. WI scored 10 sixes in losing to Australia, Ireland have Stirling and O'Brien who are renowned tonkers hewn out of Northern Irish farming stock

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/international/twenty20-world-cup/ireland-v-west-indies/total-6s

10.5 sixes for the match looks low to me. The risk being that Ireland bat and are bowled out cheap. If WI bat first that bet is a 1/2 shot for the overs

We are getting closer to knowing the line ups for the Super 8 groups

Group E: A1 (England), B2 (West Indies or Ireland), C1 (Sri Lanka), (New Zealand)

Group F: A2 (India), B1 (Australia), 2 clubs (South Africa), D1 (Pakistan, most likely)

The second group looks a humdinger.Surprise surprise India will play Pakistan, a game that has to be engineered for cash till reasons in any major tournament

England clearly have the easier group, but it all looks to work pretty well for Sri Lanka to me.

The overall market shows what a tight betting heat it is

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/international/twenty20-world-cup/winner

We remain -£20 with £102.20 forward invested on Kohli, Dilshan top sixes and Australia top sixes

Daily Summary, as @ 0850, Monday September 24th

PROFIT on Month £94.84

Unsettled Bets  - £659.70

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=12

Note - One £55 wager which completed yesterday has been left as un-settled for the time being. It is almost certainly a "Void" (Non-Runner) or a £55 WIN. Either way, it will be reflected in tomorrow's numbers. See Daily Report.

Daily Report as @ 10.25, Monday September 24th

We registered a profit of £73.84 yesterday.

September’s activity is now £94.84 in profit.

11 bets completed yesterday, 6 were losers, 4 were winners, one is yet to be settled. However the 6 losers were mostly fun bets for small or medium amounts. Of the 5 bets we placed for bigger money, 3 were winners, one was a loser, & one is currently shown as “un-settled”.

I think the £5 & £10 bets are absolutely central to Fred Fun, & as long as we are doing OK, we should keep doing them. I have not analysed them, but I would hazard a guess that overall they are profitable, as they are, invariably, Banzai-type prices.

One wager, for £55, (Bobby1) has been left as un-settled for now, this was the Kev Smith “under 70.5 rushing yards”. It is unclear to me at present if this is a “winner”, or a void bet. It will be clarified today, & included in tomorrow’s numbers. It appears he DID take part, & as such, the bet should be declared as a winner.

We lost small sums on the Perez Podium, Cycling, Santi Whatsit Banzais R Us, Exeter – Saracens, and a “Priority” bet on Man City to win.

We turned profits on Man City – Arsenal “Under 2.5” (£50, Tighty), Leics v Hull “Over 2.5” (£44, Tighty), & Green-Ellis Rushing yds (£50, Bobby1). One of two “Wm Hill Priority Price” bets was a winner, too (horsey, £30).

We lost one NFL bet by the tiniest of margins – Cassel passing yards, we needed over 249.5, he was recorded as having.…248 yards. Ooooh.

These Priority Price bets – there were two – are both owned by horsey. He does not “select” the team, or wager, he flags up the opportunity – there is no ability to select the winner, Wm Hill simply state what bet is available.

Our F1 record continues, most of our small bets lost, but once again, NFL & Football served us well. Our history suggests that they generally do.

A fun day, for the most part.
