Scoop for 6 in last over, followed by a slower ball being dispatched by Buttler flat and straight down the ground. Player performances look good. Sixes look good. England fail to really push on again as their wanton to do in one day matches.

Fighter's chance nevertheless.

Mr Milli it gladdens the heart to know that the Millidonk family will have the funds to grace that wonderful table with some figgy pudding next week.

Morning Mr T. I would like to enquire whether our horse in the 10 to follow or whatever it was has had a trundle yet ? If so how did it go and if not when might it run.

Time for some more Carte Noire and a look to see if I can find another successful max rugby bet for today, it will be my 6th in a row if it does. One of them was even for the dizzy sum of £24.

It is too early for a celebratory Anderson dance so I shall instead have a bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.

The mare is "Tarla", but I'm afraid we shall have to ask Doobs, as I have no idea, & have been wondering that myself.

Doobsy?

6 Rugby Winners in a row (excluding the "Banzai Savers")?

Yup, I've been watching that, it'd be quite somerthing to get 6 straight rugby winners, & you still keep the stakes sensible, very rarely more than £20. Incredible.

We never name the owners of losing bets in the Daily Reports here, as we like to celebrate success, not mock failure, & you are hogging the limelight right now. Could not happen to a more decent chap, & long may it last.

Here, share a congratulatory coffee with this chap.

Tarla ran a couple of days before the comp started.  It ran again on the 9th, was 4/11 had the race won when falling at the last.  It had an entry on Boxing Day when I last looked.  Voler la vedette, which was a joint short price favourite, has had a wind op.  This is good news for the thread, we just need ours to stay standing in a couple of races.

It isn't all plain sailing as last time I checked another mare had got 20 points.  I am kind of hoping that will be it for the season.  I dont think there is any sign of quevega appearing before Cheltenham.

Top Man Doobsy, thanks.

If you think of it, can you remind us before it next runs please?

Thanks.

She isn't running on boxing day.

I have found her last run here.

You need a skybet subscription to watch.

There were worries about her after the race, and I am not as confident as I was after seeing that.  I guess there could be a good chance we won't be seeing her for a while, but fingers crossed.

He has bowled precisely 2 overs?

Meaker and the steady Tredwell apart they've all bowled filth. Probably a but undercooked and unable to find their lines

Meaker's going to be a good one, serious prospect on most pitches

This. I know the pressures of T20, but how can someone describe Lumb's 10 ball innings as having a torrid time?

For those interested in the no British teams to qualify bet, betting on To Qualify individually on Bayern, Juve and Real Madrid in a treble with Boylesports gives 13/8 (4/11, 1/5, 8/13)

"He has bowled precisely 2 overs?"

Which is half a bowler's allocation in T20.  If he can't hit the ground running he is no good for the format.

Not necessarily true

He's a death bowler with four or five different slower balls, very good on slow wickets, and normally only has 1 over up front

this is a quick bouncy wicket, and he's very hittable on those

Not saying he bowled well today, far from it, but the difficulty of finding his line today is down to being undercooked

Again because he used up 8% of his team's balls.  Getting a single or whatever he got is disasterous.  I know Gayle does it sometimes, but he generally catches up (aside from the big bash today).  But if you don't catch up you have really dented your team's chances.

I think we won our bet from Hector?  7-6 by my reckoning.
