I remember Robbie Earnshaw scoring a hat trick... Mark Hughes too?
2 down, 2 to go
I can't think of a Giggs hattrick.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

They disqualified Long Run yet?

That's the last one. Good work, Fred.

Really Like
Stoke to beat Southampton on Saturday @ 5-6.
This looks pretty big considering how well they played at home to Liverpool
Stoke havent lost in their last 9 premier league games keeping 5 clean sheets and winning 4 out of their last 5 home games whereas Southampton are really struggling away from home
Im pretty sure people will latch onto this bet and consider it value even at 4-5

Thanks Fraser.
Must say, Stoke look a right pain to play against, they attack the ball non-stop. The football eqiivelant of a poker calling station, they get very little credit, but jeez they are awkward to beat.
The price may be a tad long, I agree, but not by much.

Morning Tony ..hope you had a good Christmas & A Happy New Year to you and Rich and all Blonde Members
I think they are a very under rated team especially when you look at their premier home record as they havent lost at home since February the 4th
These are their impressive premier league results so far this season
Stoke 3-1 Liverpool
Tottenham 0-0 Stoke
Stoke 1-1 Everton
Aston Villa 0-0 Stoke
West Brom 0-1 Stoke
Stoke 2-1 Newcastle
Stoke 1-0 Fulham
West Ham 1-1 Stoke
Stoke 1-0 QPR
Norwich 1-0 Stoke
Stoke 0-0 Sunderland
Man Utd 4-2 Stoke
Liverpool 0-0 Stoke
Stoke 2-0 Swansea
Chelsea 1-0 Stoke
Stoke 1-1 Man City
Wigan 2-2 Stoke
Pretty Sure there will be money for Stoke...I think its a great bet

Yes, Xmas was fine. Lovely & quiet, just as I prefer it. Hope yours was good, too.
Yes, I do think they will probably win, but all those stats you produced are pretty much in the price, imo, there is nothing there the bookies have missed.

Long Run looks a good thing in tomorrow's King George, but Tal scooped up all the value.
I think Fred should back Captain Chris. Captain Chris won a "bad" Arkle at Chrltenham in 2011 and then followed it with a bad season last year. In addition the race is going to be a slog in the mud and Captain Chris isn't a stayer, hence he is 21/1 on Betfair.
But, I am not convinced there really are bad Arkles, and he did beat Finian's Rainbow who had a decent season last year. Last year he unseated his rider at Exeter when he looked like he would have won. He couldn't live with Kauto and Long Run at Kempton. He then made a bad mistake at the 2nd at Cheltenham and didn't recover. He then finished 6th off the winner in the Ryanair, which isn't King George winning form, but isn't terrible either.
This season he has come out and beat For Non Stop and Finian's Rainbow at Aintree. I know there were excuses for For Non Stop that day, but the ground was heavy and maybe he is back to his Arkle winning form... And there isn't such a thing as a bad Arkle?
The bookies are 16s best to scupper the each way money, but we bet like men here anyway. Currently 22 on Betfair and I do think Long Run likely wins. There is only £12 available at that price but think 20/1 is fine too. There is a few hundred quid available at that price so barring a Fraser lump on, thread should get some ar that price.
Suggest a £20 banzai Captain Chris 22 or 21 on Betfair.
Merry Christmas thread.
Well we bet like men, and we lost, but that is a really high quality piece of analysis from start to finish by Lord Doobs. No wonder his ROI is off the scale.
