We really need McDowell to come through for us, but he has had a serious McWobble.

Did anyone bet on a sin bin? I could have sworn a yellow was given to Ashton at the end.

Didn't myself, but seem to recall discussion ITT earlier

Cole got one on like 79th commentary said i think.

Fred did. I heard the commentator say it, in the 79th minute, but I never saw any evidence of it.

Would have been our only blue ink of the day, too. All £5 of it.

I've got a fair bit on Gmac to win the bracket (as I put on the max so that I could lay the win part on the exchange for the same odds) to be left with mostly the place bet.  So as long as the match with Day is priced up by enough firms, I'll prob back Day to lock in a profit.

Fred can do the same for £30 if it wants to be nitty.

The yellow is mentioned on ESPN

So looks like we scraped home.

Well done 2xUp, great tip.

One more round today, if we can win that, we are in the money. You could be the saviour of our weekend, which has been less than optimal so far.

Not sure if we will save anything. I prefer nitty, as you know, but I need a proper dither on this.

Market wasn't really  liquid and BF has suspended anyway so its all or nothing.  I've done ok overall anyway with a few single that have won but obv Gmac to win the bracket is a big one.

Are my ears deceiving me or did Monty just refer to Gonzo as "our Spanish compatriot"?

I had a look, but decided to stick with it. I've backed him myself for each round, too, so he owes me nothing, but I'd love him to win the bracket for Fred. Then, tomorrow, we have a proper sweat on.

I don't like to diss commentators, but when I heard Monty's voice, I did inwardly groan a little.

Shouldn't have a go at Monty. Let us not forget he captained the best Ryder Cup team we've had for a generation and managed narrowly to avoid defeat.

He is nevertheless a witty and insightful sort.
