Daily Summary, @ 1045, Saturday April 20th

We were reminded over the last 38 hours what it was like to back a winner or two, making a lovely profit of £84.

4 bets completed, three were winners.

Snowy gave us a winning Darts bet +(£34), & hector smashed an IPL Cheating League bet out of the park (+£20).

Prime position must go to Fellaini though, who stuck up an absolute corker, which won hard-held, by a distance, for a profit of £50. Never was a bet better read.

It has also, at last, & belatedly, made me realise that on the occasion that a really good bet is proposed, Fred should grow a pair, & invest a little more. The Bet Owner, if they so wish, can decline ownership of the extra, if they think it will damage their ROI, or they are not comfy with bigger bets, in which case, the "FRED" Account will bear responsibility for the additional profit/loss.

A good 48 hours.

Today, the Snooker commences. I'll Post our book up soonest.

I'm working (a loose term in my case) today, at DTD, but I only have two players left in, to look after, so as long as bets are Posted early enough, I should be able to get on.

I could not get on several Bookmakers Sites from DTD yesterday, as they were blocked by ther dDD Wifi, but I've now realised I can get round that by tethering my computer to my HTC Desire Smarty phone.

Still on catch-up here, but as far as I can see, I only have the SCotty bet (UFC?) to get on, & Matt's Forest bet to consider.

Is Chompy's Hero, Fatty Swanson, playing today? Prices any good?

Quick personal note - I was at DTD all yesterday, & I was joined for the entire day by MereNovice, & so he was able to meet several of the Fred regulars, including Tighty, Lord Channing, Commodore Camel, & assorted others.

We must not ever forget that Mere makes Fred possible, & he has helped many others with Spready stuff. He also runs the (rigged) Tipster Comps, or most of them.

I left DTD at around 1am this morning, & Mere was still quaffing pints, seemingly enjoying himself.

Good stuff.

Banzai

Will explain better later.  Busy.  £5 e/w sutil and Di Resta. F1 qualifying betfred.  Currently 150/1, never 30/1 the place.

Cheers

UFC on Fox 7 is tomorrow evening/Sunday morning and I've a few recommendations.

Benson Henderson is a short as 3/10 which when looked at in isolation is unlikely to get anyone too excited but with a little bit of analysis we can find a better bet. Henderson has won 6 in a row and, interestingly, all 6 wins have came via decision - this has came since he has started competing at the very top of the sport.

Henderson is quickly turning into the lightweight version of GSP in that he has many tools with which to control his fights without being able to finish the fighters at the top of the division.

Melendez won’t really bring anything new to the table for Henderson and he should be able to dictate this fight with both his striking and wrestling. Whilst it will likely be an exciting fight, Henderson has too much about him for Melendez and the 4/5 from Paddy Power for Henderson to win by decision is the best option. Recommend £25.

Elsewhere, there is another interesting looking lightweight bout between Nate Diaz and Josh Thomson. Diaz is coming off a loss to the champion Henderson whilst Thomson has moved over from Strikeforce where he dropped a split decision to Melendez last time out.

The bookmakers have Diaz the firm favourite but I'm interested in siding with Thomson who is available to back at 33/20 with Ladbrokes.

Thomson has been plagued by injury but seems to have turned the corner in that respect and his multi-faceted game should see him notch a decision victory as he is an intelligent fighter who knows how to win. Recommend £15.

Benson Henderson to beat Gilbert Melendez by decision – 4/5 with Paddy Power.

Josh Thomson to beat Nate Diaz – 33/20 with Ladbrokes.

Morning Scott.

I have missed both prices I am afraid.

The 4/5 Melendez is now 8/11. (I asume "Points" is the same as "By Decision"?)

The Thomson price is now 7/5.

The bets are fairly small, & I'm happy to get on at those prices, unless better is available elsewhere.

Let me know please, & when I arrive at DTD, I'll sort them if necessary.

Thanks.

Don't think I have an 888 Account, or if I have, I don't have the Password etc with me, nor do I have any plastic with me today, (I am away from home for a few days) so I can't get on.

Bet he scores a hatful now.......

Holt is 5-0 down. Great

Hasn't been outplayed but has made several key mistakes that have cost him a lot, while WalDen has made none.

Holt could blow at any moment. Not exactly an advert for the Mental game of snooker. very much a streak player.

Some more logic.  The Force India's look fast this weekend.  Di Resta has been up with the pace since the start, and Sutil got just as quick in the last session.  They are very close to the top 4 teams and look quicker than the McLarens.  In the final practice Sutil was quickest of everyone in the first sector.  The top 9 were separated by half a second or so in the last practice.  If one of them hooks up a lap, I think top 3 is definitely possible.

But there is another randomiser present.  There are two types of tyres here. There is a standard harder tyre and a softer option tyre.  The option tyres don't last long at all, just a handful of laps.  It is possible that some of the teams will choose to start on the harder tyres, and others on the option tyres for strategy reasons.  I have heard it said that the option tyres are 0.6 seconds faster here, so the difference between 1st and 9th.

If a couple of the teams just that little bit quicker choose the harder tyres to start the race, 150/1 looks an absolute bargain price.  If Force India do it, we are stuffed.

Anyway about to start, and things to do.

Afternoon Mr T.

Today's rugby league is the challenge cup. I was tempted to put up Hull KR to beat St Helens but I was hoping to get 7/4 or better and that is not around. Instead I will have to go for unders for the total points. They played each other 2 weeks ago and there were only 36 points in the game. Both sides will think they can win and the pressure of it being an all or nothing cup match will help the bet.

Anyone with a Stan James account should go for under 50 points at 15/8 but we shall have to go nittier.

Suggest under 54.5 points £20 @ Evs Sportingbet.
