Daily Summary, @ 1210, Sunday April 21st

We lost £50.80 yesterday.

The difference between winning & losing was a bet by Bazzaboy which I was unable to get on, due to work problems, & which won nicely. Or would have. Bazza ran bad for Fred actually, because another Boxing bet of his lost in the final round. I DID get that one on.

We also had a losing snooker bet (Holt), 2 x £5 F1 Banzais, & a FGS in the red column.

On the other side of the sheet, hector gave us another RL winner (+£20), & Scotty got a real Fred rarity, 2 from 2 the same day, when both his suggestions did the business (+£16 & +£23.25). Good stuff.

This 9/2 about Aidan having no UK Classic winners this year still looks too big to me.

The Guineas meeting is nearly with us and he wouldn't have obvious claims in either race.

In the 2000 it's 6/4 Dawn Approach (Bolger), 3/1 Toronado (Hannon), 10/1 Bar.

In the 1000 Guineas O'Brien only has one runner at shorter than 20/1, which is Moth, who's a 12/1 shot. As it happens I like Moth but 12/1 is about right for a maiden winner stepping up to a Classic.

Obv the Oaks and Derby are viewed as his best chances but it's 6/1 the field in both at the moment and he's not responsible for either favourite.

This one has just slipped through the net imo. I'm already full up at 8/1, so it's all Fred's if he wants it.

Recommend £80 @ 9/2 with Baldfred/Tote.

Chelsea are away to Liverpool today.

We never seem to get the right side of Liverpool, but we could really do with them winning today, as we have two big bets involving them.

Chelsea NOT to finish Top 4, £80 @ 9/4

Arsenal to win PL without the Manchester clubs - £80 @ 11/4.

Love this, thanks Chompy.

On like a shot. This is in addition to the £17.50 @ 8/1 we already have on this.

£80 @ 9/2, Betfred, Aiden O'Brien NOT to have a Classic Winner, 2013.

World Championship Snooker

I have yet to see a ball potted, & have no idea who has done what, but this is our position at present.

Jack Lisowski, £3 @ 100/1.

Judd Trump, £50 @ 8/1

Selby, £50 @ 13/2.

Lisowski is 6-3 down, & plays to a finish tonight, @ 7pm.

Ronnie is now down to 4/1 best, & we missed that boat, but I gather the score may have flattered him a little.

On too, despite the opening page on BF Horseracing, flashing up O'Briens Marengo heavily backed for Derby, which did make me chuckle.

NBA Playoffs start tonight...

Brooklyn nets are notorious fast starters especially at home but tend to run out of steam as the game goes on...for anyone watching the game  I will look for them to take a nice big early lead as well and back the bulls on the spread( anything Bulls +10 is a dream ) as their defence and fight will reel the Nets into a close one..

1st QTR Brooklyn are 22 of their last 32 at home..the two they played against the bulls at home ( last one on the 4th April) have been won by 10 and 13 points....they took the 4 game series for 1st qtr 3/4... looks like Noah is out for the Bulls and his their main defence against All star Lopez... Deron Williams at point is playing as well as ever and big Reggie is a rebounding demon...

Suggest something medium size Nets -1.5 around 1.86

Brooklyn won the first Qtr 25-14 and although Noah started it was obvious he was struggling and he didn't play for long... went as expected and Nets built up a big lead..Bulls Defence was unusually bad and as a contest was over by the third qtr... managed to get on Bulls +16.5 and +22.5 as the lead got as high as 27.... took bulls 4th qtr -2.5 as obv the Nets would take the foot off although they played their starters in the 4th qtr a lot longer than I expected.... Nets won by 17 which was a bit frustrating for my +16.5 especially as Robinson had 6 seconds to waltz the ball into the net instead he decided to try a 35 footer sigh..but 3/4 the game and 6/8 inc the Knicks game was good overall...hope some of you got on...

Breaking news.

Reports are coming in of a sudden run on flour, sugar, and eggs in the Plymouth area. A spokesperson for the supermarkets was at a loss to explain the sudden surge in sales but said that they would have fresh supplies there by morning.

Wasps 24, Exeter 37.

And that is FOUR winners on the bounce for hector, three of them this weekend. (13/8, 5/6, Evens, 2/1).

I like Fred but not too many bets from it - I liked Hectors thoughts on this and had a wee bet - nice one Hector.

The Bahrain F1 GP is today.

Think we want Vettel &/or Hamilton to do well.

Was obviously a good result for the Vettel bet.  Hamilton has drifted again.

I was antifunking Paul Di Resta pretty hard towards the end.  I was undecided whether to back him for the race or the practice (you could get 200/1 either early on Friday morning).  I eventually plumped for the practice and was regretting it for a long time today.

Yes, I only realised during the race that we had him at a monster price for Qualifying.

Vettel seems supreme at the moment. Good bet, that.
