RECOMMENDED BET - £150 on Gina to win Big Brother @ 8/1 (various bookmakers) or 9.4 on Betfair.

No rebuffery ta, we are taking a position here with a view to possibly trading some out at shorter prices.

Gina is looking like the chosen one already and there's no doubt she's getting a positive edit. That is likely to continue unless she does something to blow her own chances.

Airtime is key now. Whoever gets most of it has the best chance of winning. Aaron got booed when he came out as the winner. The same could well happen with Gina. She splits opinion but she is crushing in the polls.

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1843981

http://www.bbspy.co.uk/bb14/popularity-poll/week-3

Essentially she is everything that is wrong with this country but she is endearing with it. It's hard not to smile when she's on screen.

Again the girls are very weak this series. Two have gone already and Wolfy is odds-on to make it three on Friday.

Hazel and Jackie are complete no-channers, while I've no idea why Charlie is a single-figure price. Sophie is just in the background and I can't see that changing.

Gina tops the polls, gets loads of airtime and is TV gold.

I expect her to be pushing for favouritism by the end of the week and for her price to come down after tomorrow night's show - she's one of four up for eviction this week but won't be going and should be confirmed as having fewest 'evict' votes.

Pretty sure this is going to end in tears but ...

On

If we are intending to trade I would have preferred taking the odds on Betfair but they are currently 8.6 (can be laid at 9) so had to go with a bookie.
Had to split it over two bookies as got maxed.

I'm sure we can rely on you to keep us abreast of the situation.

No, I said REBUFF all his tips.

I would not wish him to take this the wrong way, but he is a total tosser.

If we ever clash on the poker baize, I'm so gonna rip him a new arsehole.

Pretty sure the peroxided pro punterer will have palpitations when he awakens to find a max bet being struck on Big Bro.

Gina is incred though.

I like it a lot when MereNovice is in control of the purse strings.

FFS, she is PLASTIC, she is the 2013 version of the Monkees.

Robbie Williams she is not.

Ohhhh, dictionary failure here. I thought that rebuff meant max.
You really shouldn't use these long words; they confuse us simple folk.

Exactly.

Chompy has her poster on his bedroom ceiling. Fen love, see?

I'm sure she is a lovely girl, but talented?

Good grief.

Doris Day should be on Big Brother.

Gonna take a Sentimental Journey,
Gonna set my heart at ease.
Gonna make a Sentimental Journey,
to renew old memories.

Got my bags, got my reservations,
Spent each dime I could afford.
Like a child in wild anticipation,
I Long to hear that, "All aboard!"

Seven...that's the time we leave at seven.
I'll be waitin' up at heaven,
Countin' every mile of railroad
track, that takes me back.

Never thought my heart could be so yearny.
Why did I decide to roam?
Gotta take that Sentimental Journey,
Sentimental Journey home.
Sentimental Journey.

At words poetic, I'm so pathetic
That I always have found it best,
Instead of getting 'em off my chest,
To let 'em rest unexpressed,
I hate parading my serenading
As I'll probably miss a bar,
But if this ditty is not so pretty
At least it'll tell you
How great you are.

You're the top!
You're the Coliseum.
You're the top!
You're the Louvre Museum.
You're a melody from a symphony by Strauss
You're a Bendel bonnet,
A Shakespeare's sonnet,
You're Mickey Mouse.
You're the Nile,
You're the Tower of Pisa,
You're the smile on the Mona Lisa
I'm a worthless check, a total wreck, a flop,
But if, baby, I'm the bottom you're the top!

Your words poetic are not pathetic.
On the other hand, babe, you shine,
And I can feel after every line
A thrill divine
Down my spine.
Now gifted humans like Vincent Youmans
Might think that your song is bad,
But I got a notion
I'll second the motion
And this is what I'm going to add;

You're the top!
You're Mahatma Gandhi.
You're the top!
You're Napoleon Brandy.
You're the purple light
Of a summer night in Spain,
You're the National Gallery
You're Garbo's salary,
You're cellophane.
You're sublime,
You're turkey dinner,
You're the time, the time of a Derby winner
I'm a toy balloon that’s fated soon to pop
But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

You're the top!
You're an arrow collar
You're the top!
You're a Coolidge dollar,
You're the nimble tread
Of the feet of Fred Astaire,
You're an O'Neill drama,

You're Whistler's mama!

You're camembert.

You're a rose,
You're Inferno's Dante,

You're the nose
On the great Durante.
I'm just in a way,
As the French would say, "de trop".
But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

You're the top!
You're a dance in Bali.
You're the top!
You're a hot tamale.
You're an angel, you,
Simply too, too, too diveen,
You're a Boticcelli,
You're Keats,
You're Shelly!

You're Ovaltine!
You're a boom,
You're the dam at Boulder,
You're the moon,
Over Mae West's shoulder,
I'm the nominee of the G.O.P.

Or GOP!

But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

You're the top!
You're a Waldorf salad.
You're the top!
You're a Berlin ballad.
You're the boats that glide
On the sleepy Zuider Zee,
You're an old Dutch master,

You're Lady Astor,
You're broccoli!
You're romance,
You're the steppes of Russia,
You're the pants, on a Roxy usher,
I'm a broken doll, a fol-de-rol, a blop,

But if, baby, I'm the bottom,
You're the top!

Pirelli will strengthen its tyres ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix to try to avoid a repeat of the six blowouts seen at Silverstone.

The rear tyres' internal belt will be made of Kevlar at the Nurburgring this weekend rather than the usual steel.

Then for the Hungarian Grand Prix at the end of July, Pirelli will revert to its 2012 construction, which is different to that used this year.

This is interesting for us

We have Vettel 21 points clear and a long forgotten 8/1 on Hamilton who is 4th despite a car that struggles on the 2013 tyres

A move back to last years tyres favours Red Bull (fastest team last year, with the best aerodynamic design) and Mercedes (much quicker car this year, no longer hamstrung by tyres) and by contrast affects Lotus and to a lesser extent Ferrari who designed around this years tyres....

I would say, accepting that F1 variables are many and unpredictable as Vettel found this weekend, that a move back to 2012 tyres strengthens our dual hand on our ante post book

We have £60 on Vettel at 11/8 and £10 Hamilton 8/1

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/drivers-championship

Vettel currently trading odds on

Interestingly Horner of Red Bull did PR this morning where he said "Mercedes are very much back in the Championship hunt"

With Rosberg at 33-1 and Hamilton at 16-1 you are getting prices on an each way punt given the Mercedes raw pace, ceteris paribus, without the tyre woes soon

Any excuse to get that song in. I blame the formerly named Victoria Coren for bringing it up on Only Connect.

Think I'd much rather have Makarova @ 150s ew with Sporting Bet than Kvitova @ 14s considering they are 5/6, 11/10 tomorrow. Plus Kvitova is spraying errors all over the place atm.

A mention for Flipkens at 200s too, not without a chance of making the semis.

Flipkens makes the semi-final (as does Bartoli).

Complete quarter-finals draw for the women.

23    Lisicki (Ger) v Kanepi (Est)
4    Radwanska (Pol)  v 6 Li (Chn)
17   Stephens (US)   v 15    Bartoli (Fra)
8    Kvitova (Cze)    v 20 Flipkens (Bel)

Bartoli now best priced 8/1.

Am I right in thinking that if Bartoli beats Stephens she plays the winner of the Flipkens game?

Yes

That was the crux of my efforts, to find someone in the bottom half who could win her half before she played Serena

Shouldn't pfaff around next time, I say to myself. Too much attempt to research, not enough action on my behalf

Cheers, I got on Bartoli and Flipkens for small amounts after seeing your post about it, now looking at a way of locking in profit... Might just let them ride though!

Nice one Tighty, guaranteed at least a placing now, cheers!
