BBC just reported the break points won as per these stats: http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/scores/extrastats/brk_pts_won_ms.html

So either they or ES are wrong. You'd think it would be easy enough to get right!

Sorry. What I meant was that they published stats for games won against serve AND for break points, when they are the same thing.

Janowicz has fewer of both, you're right.

Cheesy

That makes sense, wondered how one of them could have got it wrong! Cheers.

They are effectively offering 4/1 Australia or 17/5 the draw.  Either beats the bookies and Betfair.  I haven't calc'd it, but guess there isn't much in it value wise.  Should clearly take the offer.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Nom nom nom value pie.

The good weather that's forecast for the next few weeks should be good for Mr Swann, too.

That was my thinking but I didn't want to be so brazen as to post it. Smiley

Surprise score-line at Warrington, who are losing 6-8 to Leeds at half-time.  Very low-scoring affair so far.

In t'cricket, Lancashire and Yorkshire both tried to lose today but both are batting so badly neither managed it. Match tied.

Is Fred pleased with the Tennis results today?

How did Mere's wager v Dubai end up?

Both Fred and Dubai are smiling.
Mere is getting his boxers with the cross of St. Andrew out of the bottom drawer and will even be ironing them for extra luck.

Can this go down as Fred please? Its merely the most efficient way to use the offer (I think), not an expectation that it would be backed in the absence of the offer

Wimbledon final: Djokovic  8/15 favourite, Murray 6/4 with William Hill

We won't lose whatever, but the bigger winner, net, is Murray.

OK.
Traditionally, the bet goes down to anyone brave enough to stick their head above the parapet if any choice is involved.
Fred only gets the credit where the bet is enhanced odds on a specific "horse".

However, seeing as it is you, I'll let Fred take the blame credit for this one. Smiley

Daily Report

Loss on month £85

Outstanding bets £1512

One completed bet on Friday, with Warrington pipping Leeds in the final minutes 19-18 with a wobbly drop goal, but insufficient points for our overs bet so -£25

Saturday

We effectively have Australia to beat the Lions at 2.48 (series bet). Australia have been backed in to 5/6 in the last two days and -2 on the points handicap. I am feeling draw at 20-1 just to make sure I lose on everything!

German Grand Prix qualifying, where we hope Mecedes pip Red Bull and then hold on with the new tyre construction during the race

The Tour De France moves into the Mountains, with the first Pyrenee stage and all being well Richie Porte will accompany Froome to the summit at the head of affairs

Bartoli plays Lisicki in the Ladies singles final at Wimbledon. Come on Lisicki! (not for thread, but for my sanity)

Sunday

German Grand Prix

Djokovic v Murray

Gina appears still to be bb favourite and I have just switched over for the eviction. Vince Calenti/celtic is there tonight. Kebab vans were booked especially
