Hopefully it will make a big splash.

Got to take this price while it lasts

Essex to beat Surrey at Chelmsford T20 Tomorrow night Live on SS Ashes

Evens or above B365 (currently)

- Essex have to win to make the quarters
- Surrey already in the quarters, a win gives them a home tie

Surrey are minus batting. Ponting has played his last game. Maxwell is in SA, O'Brien came in for three games and has now left. Only Azhar Mahmood (at 6-7) or the very inconsistent openers Roy/Davies have the sort of firepower to compete at Chelmsford.

Line up could be Roy, Davies, Solanki, De Bruyn? ,Wilson, Ansari, Azhar. Not going to be enough

At Chelmsford: small ground, good pitch you need hitters to clear the ropes. Surrey by and large have nudgers and nurdlers suited to their big ground at the Oval.

Rutherford, Smith, Tendo, Bopara, Shah, Napier are going to have too much firepower

Essex should be 4/6 given team line ups, ground characteristics, motivations to win

Last time out Essex put 180 up on the best team in the group Hampshire but couldn't defend it

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/o35310

Surrey won't have anything like the Hampshire batting line up tomorrow. Surrey's stength is in death bowling, pace off the ball pitches. Essex should be crafty and produce a fast quick new one to play to their strengths

I am a big Surrey fan, btw

Recommend an Even £50 Essex

Would be interested in the views of other Cricket experts on this.

At 10/11, I'm thinking, based on Tighty's view, this should be a Max?

It's T20, a randomising format (lots of variables and not a lot of time for skill to win out if you have a bad patch mid game). Hence why recommendations don't go to maxes for T20 in my opinion

Meanwhile it emerges that Steve Smith has done his back, which is Warner's route back into the Test team for the JaffaCakes on Thursday.....

Shah injured and Ravi still too injured to bowl or would be a max. Shah pretty big blow as been in great form and really csn switch gears. Evens wrong but was no need to take 10/11 because probably will be 10/11 each of two across the line later. I'd favour Essex still as Pettini decent opener and hopefully they don't go with Smith at 3 and just move Ravi up. Fancy Rutherford to get a load, in top nick and just hits the ball so clean

If you make Essex 4/6 you need to be taking the 14/1 to win whole thing because if they win tomoro they will have home Qf where will be 4/5 5/6 shot. Simple maths then tells u 14/1 is too big

Only "good" thing about Shah injury is they declared it as out for couple weeks, and last two players they said that about were back in 2 days somehow. Pray the magic sponge has worked

thanks. we essentially agree

Surrey are down to picking one or two in the top six they wouldn't normally pick for T20, thats the basis of my view.

Daniel Levy will reluctantly bow to Gareth Bale’s desire to leave Tottenham if Real Madrid offer a world record £85million — plus a player.

Jeff recommended Warner to be top Australian series bat at 33-1 last week and was backed up by plenty of people and then supported by the thread.

He needs to get picked for Old Trafford onwards, so chances of that (which were good anyway given the paucity of options) have increased
