Cincinnati, we have £100 at 23/20, currently.

Both you and Doobs like Webber at the prices. If you back it, I hope it stays dry-ish.

Correct, £100.

Neil seems to suggest we should get out our very rarely used DOUBLE MAX button, is that correct?

If the bet is that good, I'll happily do the deed. Let me know, please.

It was originally suggested by Bobby, & he proposed £100 for Fred, but I happen to know he has had a "decent bet", & on his advice, so have I.

Neil's call, You know bobby1 and I like the bet.

As Neil and bobby1 have both suggested, NFL season bets need to be thought about and transacted this week before the books "freshen up" in 10 days or so before the start of the season a week Thursday

You ought to be the Special Guest on one of those NFL Betting Preview TV Shows, & I could mark your card as a fellow expert. Oh, wait.......

Good morning thread/Tikay,

One thing you forgot to mention in that rather long list of yours Tikay, was that AC MIlan got beat yesterday and we have an ante post wager on Napoli (albeit small). You can still get 15/2 with youwin for Napoli to win the Serie A title, and also 4/6 the place 1,2,3 though this is with Stan James or with Betfair. With Napoli having bought rather well over the summer despite letting Cavani go, I think their chances of a place in the top 3 are very high, and would thus give you a free bet at the title.  Suggest something like 20 quid the win, with 30 on the place??? Open to ideas to stake variations perhaps more may be a good way ahead? I know I have been hammering it large.

Good luck!

Thanks.

The loing list of reported action was by Tighty, not me - I couldf not cope with all that. I used to, but I was a bit of a fail, & nowadays, our book is MUCH bigger.

Personally, I think we have enough on Napoli for now, we have them to win Serie A & Champions League already. I see your point, though, thank you.

The only problem with the European Football bets is that they cause Tighty an enormous amount of work to monitor & report.

Was it 23/10?  Currently 9/4 with Ladbrokes.

Jay Rod (easier to type) has now had two "goals" not given which should have been.

They dont pay out on them though

Re: the Pettogrettoni bet for top August manager, obv we don't want Chelsea winning at Man U tomorrow. But otherwise do we know for sure whether the Liverpool v Man Utd match on 1 September will count?

Guess a draw tomorrow night and a 5-0 crush for Citeh today would take away most of the worry anyway.

People from that part of the world find it hard to type without hitting more than one key at a time Adzy. Could take a while.

Re: the Cincy bet, is this a good trading spot? Ie, do they have the sort of early schedule that could see them start 6&0? If so, should we not be having a mega lump with a view to laying some back? Betty funds for the cover shouldn't be an issue; bottomless pit.

Mr Rodgers, not Rogers, was not on my radar as I assume the 1 Sept games do not count. Logically they cannot, but this is football

He has thus managed his last game of the month. Logically.

Pettogrotichi win today, no Mourinho win tomorrow, we're good

No, their start is not very easy. schedule eases out after the first few games

I am currently not far from Yarmouth, am on phone, so typing an issue.  Probably drizzled a lot last 24 hours, didn't see any massively heavy rain.

Are the divisional betting markers on NFL really that strong mid season.  I don't follow them, but that seems optimistic looking at the current market.  Overall is different

First five...

Bengals @ Bears
Steelers @ Bengals
Packers @ Bengals
Bengals @ Browns
Patriots @ Bengals

Then...

Bengals @ Bills
Bengals @ Lions
Jets @ Bengals
Bengals @ Dolphins

What would we be happy with after week 5? 3&2? Obv they should beat the Browns. If they go 3&2 would they be a lot shorter in any market? Just that, given the last two SB winners have been double-figure prices going into the play-offs, is this a good market to play without planning to trade? Would you be better waiting until week 5 and then steaming in, given the next four all look easy enough?

NFL is not my thing obv, just thinking out loud before slapping any £££ down.

This is useful Adzy et al

The three toughest games are at home, but I'd think 3-2 would warrant a tightening of the price, as the run out after that is much better.

3-2 after 5, all being well

3-1 in the next 4 (Lions away is tough this season)

6-3 just after half way gives us a shot at the division, then the play offs even if they don't win the divison

As you say, Wild card winners can go all the way to the Superbowl

I don't think 9/4 tightens for now, but I do think they are favourites to win the division not 2nd/3rd as various markets price them
