Ladbrokes have me massively restricto-ed on the webshite but, if I ring, sometimes they'll take the bet, sometimes they won't.
A strange state of affairs. I wouldn't bother online, though, just get on the dog. See if you can catch the right 'trader' in the right mood.
After about 20 years they just closed my account without telling me and refused to discuss it. 'Trading decision' and when I asked to speak to the person who made the decision
I was told that they are not 'customer facing'
.
!
Good grief.

Doobs, 3:40 Hamilton is now a 3 horse race as one of he favs is a non runner, makes fav odds on with the next 2-1 and the 3rd is 22-1, I presume this is now an even more so of a bet on the first 2 as earlier the favs were both 6/5, although I see Tikay is on at 4/11 so must of bet after the other fav was taken out. Does that make sense?
it was a 3 horse race when he tipped it the best horse in field had pulled out before
Yep, basically, unless something weird happens, if you back both, you get a winning bet and a free bet for your £50 (albeit you would be down before the freebie if the favourite won). If the 2nd favourite won, then you would get a better result. Guess ultranits could just back the 3rd favourite on Betfair too.
I have personally only backed the favourite, and it was when there were 4 runners, so am going to get the rule 4 from hell.

I've just noticed that Hills refunded on Kiyoshi yesterday, even though he was demoted to 3rd after a stewards.
Not for me.
Nor me. Maybe due a refund be because it was a home decision.
prob just want to encourage the spencer favourite backers

Is there any appetite for a golf bet.
I think Garcia is vulnerable when leading, though maybe everyone knows this. Steve Stricker had one this before, so think he must be worth a free bet at 7/1. Use the Hills one.
Stenson has been in great form recently, and 3/1 looks a better price than Stricker's. Using a free bet to back a 3/1 chance seems bad, and I'd be first to criticise, but I am loathe to commit real thread money the way the golf has gone at the weekend.
I'll have a ponder.
Ponder away Doobs.
3/1 already gone with Ladbrokes, so I think the free bet would be terrible on Stenson. I have backed him with BetFred who are last offering 3/1. Could be one for a sweat, though not sure it is value.
Edit, back Stricker with the free bet with Hills though.
Done, thank you.

Anyone else watching this Bale unveiling without being able to speak much Spanish and thinking it sounds like the Fast Show?

Doobs if they shorten the prices we would still be ok with best price gtd though I would of thought
Well both bookies are currently offering poor prices, and I can't imagine the ring at Hamilton on a Monday is that strong. I suspect we just win anyway, but guess they could force them down to 1/3 and evens to limit us! Of course somebody there could then arb off Betfair. It might be worth tuning in to Betfair around the time of that race, to try and lay them both at any resulting silly prices.

Regarding the Coral problem, it def happens on Firefox too.
I actually find Intenet explorer more reliable when betting with them although that betslip issue still arises.
One tip I can give is to update the betslip before logging in on the site, that normally solves it for me, esp on IE.

Crazy when you think about it - everyone, or most, suffer problems with that site, & it must cost them fortunes.
I would think that over 50% of the time I intend to bet with Coral, I can't get the bet to "take" to the Betslip, so I go elsewhere.

Site is a joke, worst thing I find is when they refer to a trader, I get a derisory offer, accept it but then depositing takes too long and bet times out. Then I try to bet again for the referred amount which is sent to trader again and now rejected! Must deposit first I guess, though never know how much I will need with them.
Def do the update betslip trick before logging into the site, helped me out a few times that one.

I pointed this race out to someone else and he suggested just backing the fave but having a mini RFC on the other two just in case it randomly comes 3rd. Another nitty option.

I've mastered this now, I usually manage it with about 3 or 4 seconds to spare... life's little victories!

Ironside, my mistake, knew it was 4 horses when I back it and skimmed the thread so didn't read the tip properly.

Thanks Doobs, makes sense really, although I backed with 4 runners as well, I have just checked the t and c's with WH and it says there must be 4 or more runners in a channel 4 race for this offer to count, this race is not on c4 so I presume it is still valid?

bugger, looks like this comes in to play. Good to put a terrible bet on every so often though! We might still win if the best price does something crazy like going off at 1/4.
I can't read the t and c's on the mobile, so hard to spark up the lappie
Refund will only be applied to the win part of each-way bets. Free bet will be credited before noon the day AFTER the race. Bets placed on other markets on the race DO NOT COUNT. If the races are More4/Channel 4 covered races and do not take place bets are deemed void as per William Hill rules then this offer will not apply. 4 or more runners must participate in a race for this offer to count. In the instance where multiple bets are placed on the same race and/or selection within a race, only the first qualifying bet placed counts toward this offer.
Edit. Ladbrokes looks fine though, so think we are probably still ok overall.
