With regards to the free bet-gate, I'm curious to wonder when people would be happy to get your £25 on? I'm personally getting it on early morning because I'm noticing that some prices 2/1 and snSller and getting hammered in
. Not that it matters today though as I don't have much interest at Donny, looks an absolute minefield in quite a few races.
Only race that looks it might be for Fred at Donny is the 2.05 with Outstrip @ 9/4 on mobile, think Doobs would +1 this, thankfully don't have 5 selections today, so I will give a day off Tighty! Although a thought for Fred is that I think the 4.25 looks a decent place to put one of our free bets on, the field isn't mighty and all prices are good for a free bet, not a recc but I do like Bishop Roko.
Not sure how much we have done in on Chompy's P'boro bet, but maybe a place for a free bet also, unless of course the price isn't fully available with where we have out free bets.
Good luck today!
Thanks Aaron, good luck today to you, too.
The key component in selecting the Free Bets is a long(ish) price. The Maths do not work so well on, say, 2/1 shots.
The Peterborough bets would be a good example, but neither Hills nor Ladbrokes offer anything like Best Price, & somehow Chompy has already conned us into betting it THREE times. Plesase join me in giving him gip if it is 0-0. £50 well spent, imo.
I think Aaron was recommending Outstrip at 9/4 for £25 in the first at Doncaster.
Is Horsey around, if he isn't we could always press on Libertarian with a free bet. 8/1 with Laddies and Hills, both beating Betfair. Carry the old plodder home. Leading Light favourite on Betfair. We are on at 10/1 with another freebie.
Ah, missed that, sorry.
Price now 13/8 with both WH & Lads. Still worth doing, or too late?
Libertarian. Happy to have a £25 Free Bet.
Do you (or anyone else) have a view on Mr Degen Claypole's view of Excess Knowledge (5/1, EW) in the St Leger? I really have no idea, but he seems rather keen, & he mixes with the real degen types these days.
Well it has drifted a lot. I think that is because of the ground, which doesn't make much sense, as it is by Monsun. Excess knowledge has the speed, we have the grinders. Don't think it can be terrible.

Ha ha - this is not from my degen friends or my degen gene, this is from my shrewd friends gene. Up to you but confident will not be out of the frame and will go very close

Well I've been stymied Shaun, as someone else thinks it "can't be terrible", which is sort of "not quite on the fence, but I suggest you get on".
Are there ANY horses in the St Leger we have yet to back?

I'm staggered we have four bets in the St Leger and one of them isn't Excess Knowledge.
As you know, I rarely put horse information up here; altho share odd piece with Camel etc. Also as this is the St Leger and a classic it would be foolish to position anything as a coup.
However, 5/1 this morning is IMO a huge price. The Gosden team are on good form, the form many in race has question marks - especially the Dervy form - and most importantly we know the horse which met trouble last time has sparkled at home since.
I can't see this out the frame today. Recommend £50 ew 5/1. However can see us not backing with a growing portfolio. Sigh.
OK, you got me, but I've throttled you back a bit, £30 EW, as a sort of Mini-Rebuff. Not a proper Chompy style knockback of course.
We have £30 EW @ 5/1, (qtr odds, 1,2,3) BetVictor, Excess Knowledge, St Leger Stakes.

Morning all.
Based on the Luke warm write ups Simon Crisford gives Libertarian, I would find it hard to keep going in on him myself. With most stables multiple entries never looks a good thing, Godolphin rarely win without a few in a race, just a case of which one!
Diamond Johnny G is a master and seems to have brought EK to peak now and has an improving profile for sure. Looks a sure thing for the frame
Personally, I am looking for some with a little more Talent.

Damn you Doobs, stop it, now.
Guess we had better withdraw the mini-rebuff we gave Shaun, & he gets his wish. I so do not like that. The bet is down to Shaun The Oldest Degen In Town Claypole.
We have ANOTHER £20 EW @ 11/2, (qtr, 1,2,3), Corals, Excess Knowledge, ANOTHER St Leger bet.

Read something interesting about this yesterday, it was pointed out that ladbrokes were by far the shortest price on Talent, I think around the 7/1 mark whereas he was around 10s elsewhere. This was the reply someone gave:
'Lambourn only has the 1 bookies (laddies) & if word come for a good un then the price is always rubbish compared to others sometimes its a good thing because if its a local trained horse then you know the boys think highly 0f it or someones been tipping it in the village. Its the only bookies as far as i know where the staff have no bonus scheme because they usually get tucked over so no scheme would work there. '
