anyone like anything on the NFL tonight?
Drew Brees >330 passing yards against a poor pass defence, personally, but I suspect it isn't a Fred bet (probably already reflected in the price)

I have a bet for tonight that I can't really get but might be some use for Fred or Blondes.
Jimmy Graham is the best tight end in all of the NFL for me at the moment and he has posted some mindblowing numbers this year again but he got injured before they went to the bye and since then his numbers have come down. This year he has averaged 84.6 yards per game but in his last four games since the bye and injury he has had 37-116-59-41 and the game where he got 116 yards was against the Jets which they lost and you have to keep using your best player when you are fighting for a game, injury or not. Also Marques Colston was injured for that game so he couldn't use him as an alternative like he has since Here we have a game where they are favoured by nearly ten points in a dome. It figures to suit their passing game and they could easily run out to a big lead. If they do I think he will play very little part and even if they don't I think the 85.5 yards VC have set the line at is possibly a bit high anyway. He may be a monster but he is still a tight end. Would suggest £55 Jimmy Graham u85.5 receiving at 10/11 with VC in the New Orleans - Atlanta game tonight.

Posted wrong link before.
Just watched this on the ESPN website
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=10010824
Video talking about Winston for Heisman, or not as the case may be.

Have you got any bets on the Ashes series yet?
I really like the look of Broad as top England bowler. I think there is an 80%+ chance that the winner is coming from Swann, Broad or Anderson. Whoever they pick from Tremlett, Finn or Rankin is not only less likely to take wickets but also has the possibility of being replaced by Bresnan at some point during the series.
Broad was top England bowler last winter in NZ and the winter before that when we played Pakistan in the UAE. He took 22 in the latest Ashes series in England (Anderson 22, Swann 26) and was the top wicket taker in the home series before this v New Zealand. He also has 4 more test match wickets than anybody else in the world in 2013
I reckon he's close to a 30% shot in this market, certainly over 25%. He isn't particularly popular among the general public (compared to Swann or Anderson) and still has to deal with a lot of unfair criticism (stemming from some very average performances 3-4 years ago) despite his excellent record over the last couple of years. This is my only explanation for the rather generous price. He is MUCH improved and bowled really well in the warm up game last week.
I think it's a definite bet at 10/3, I would have him around 5/2
LIKE!
Still 9 innings to go, but could not have wished for a better start.

Thanks Stu. Missed this earlier, as I was working.
We missed the 10/11, but I took 4/5, we had £50 on.

Sorry to keep just splurging my thoughts but think there is another interesting opportunity in the NFL now.
Darren Sproles is out which means that Pierre Thomas is now going to be the focus of a lot of the Saints running plays. Their only other option is Mark Ingram but I don't think they really fancy him and whilst his stats are okay a lot of them come from late in the game against Dallas and they seem to use him most then. Not really a Fred rec but there is almost no Thomas related bet that isn't value at best price so depending on your betting preferences over 53.5 yards, 10-1 First TD scorer or 5/4 Anytime are all perfectly good value imo.

Ugh, Winston's DNA has been found on this girls underwear according to a Florida lab report that has been leaked in the us. Just watching a sports program on espn with a heisman voter saying he will not vote for Winston due to this.
I have no idea what our play is now but we should look at our options now IMO.
Doubt there will be many tears from Blonde, Longy!
Most of us lumped into Mariota @ 20/1!
I don't think Mariota is going to win even if winston doesn't though! He is having a very good season but that Stanford game is going to kill him, however fair or unfair that it is.
Manziel is the favourite outside of Winston IMO, though hardly clean cut he is having a very good season and his misdemeanours are relatively trivial compare to the Winston saga.

Thanks Stu. Splurge away please, we like Stu splurge.
Bit short of time, but we had a bet on Thomas OVER 52.5 yards, so we have a yard in the bank already, thanks to those nice people at Betfred. We had £44 @ 10/11.

I was just thinking out loud and don't have any idea who should/will win
I was watching some of those ESPN videos earlier and came across this
No idea who they are, but his Manziel argument seems reasonable.

Mariota got no shot irrespective I don't think. I still think Winston will win but if I was hedging I would be considering AJ McCarron and Bryce Petty too. The voters that are put off by Winstons misdemeanours aren't going to be overly enamoured by Manziel either imo.
Thomas bet won Graham bet lost tonight. Ironically, the Graham bet panned out as I had expected largely and the Thomas one not so much. Guess that's variance huh?
