Bwin update and very dirty.

They cancelled my bet after there had been no communication with them for 3 days. They decide to cancel it after a good day for the bet. Really shitty thing to do. I'll keep thread updated with going ons.

Fiorentina have confirmed that Giuseppe Rossi has suffered a sprain and second degree damage to the medial collateral ligament in his knee.
It was feared that the striker had injured the cruciate ligaments in his right knee for a third time in his career on Sunday evening, following a heavy challenge by Livorno’s Leandro Rinaudo.
However, on from early reports, La Viola have confirmed that tests carried out today have ruled this out and instead shown that the 26-year-old has suffered a sprain to the joint and second degree damage to the medial collateral ligament.
The club report that Dr Richard Steadman, who operated on Rossi’s second cruciate ligament injury, will perform tests in the next few days in order to evaluate the extent of damage and prognosis.

Still expect him to be out for at least a month. Good job Gomez is nearly back.

They did the same to me a couple of years ago, then banned me!!  Bet 365/Ladbrokes/Coral/Paddy/SJ etc may all be useless when it comes to laying a bet but at least they don't pull this shit.  Avoid BWin and Betway at all costs.

Since Bwin and Party merged, I found I can bet through my Party Poker account without any trouble at all - they have exactly the same odds, so you get that benefit without having to deal with Bwin directly

Although I think Motherwell are a must bet it's just for the win and normal betting size, but if we are betting to trade is it not worth making the bet on the exchange in the first place to remove  a chunk of the commission .

Let's say we are betting at bookies at 1.8
Betfair is offering 1.8 less commission
We trade at 1.4
Would we not make more on making bet and trade on Betfair than we would by using the bookies plus we wouldn't ruin our accounts

Or is it dependant on how much we trade out

We can't, and never could, get 1.8 or even 1.67 on Betfair.

If we are thinking of getting into trading we really need a Betfair account that pays a lot less than 5% commission and we need accounts at the other exchanges.

Betdaq 3%. Commission free on one EPL match per week.
Smarkets 2%
Matchbook commission free on football. Really only any liquidity on EPL.

Liquidity a problem on all of them really.
it was a more general post as unless bookies make a palp best price is normally around betfair price before the commision

Sigh, too many mistakes for Pinturault in the Slalom first run. Too far back to make up time in the second run.

A message from the Joint-Chairmen
West Ham United Joint-Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold have written an open letter to Hammers fans

Like all West Ham United supporters we feel frustrated and hurt by our recent results. We understand how you feel and we, the Board, feel the same.

It is never enjoyable being knocked out of a Cup competition and losing by such a large scoreline to a lower division side is hard to take for us all. We thought the youngsters gave their all and did not stop trying but in the end Nottingham Forest's experience proved too much for us.

I know Sam would have loved to have put out a more varied side, with our talented youngsters accompanied by more senior players in the starting XI. But many key players are out injured and Sam has been handed a near impossible task of coming through three crucial games in the space of six days with a squad of only 14 fit and available senior players. This is not an excuse it is a fact. We know Sam has not lost his ambition or desire and is committed to making West Ham United a great Premier League Club.

We now face a Capital One Cup semi-final on Wednesday followed by a vital Barclays Premier League trip to Cardiff on Saturday. Despite an extremely difficult draw, we are determined to do all we can to get to the Capital One Cup final over two legs with Manchester City. We hope to have several of our missing players back in time for Cardiff and we go there knowing that a win can get us out of the bottom three. Such is the nature of the Premier League this season; there are only six points between us and the team in 13th place.

Make no mistake, though; we are under no illusions as to the seriousness of our current predicament in the Premier League. But on the Board we have a combined talent of running football clubs and we will draw on all of our nous to get West Ham United out of this situation.

We have experienced difficult times before and we know what will get us results - hard work, determination and perseverance. To that end, we are all working round the clock to do everything in our powers to help arrest our slump in form.

Our first priority is to get our key players fit. Our record signing Andy Carroll continues to make good progress following his return to first-team training and he should be back on the pitch very soon along with Hammer of the Year Winston Reid and our other missing central defenders, James Tomkins and James Collins. Trust us, Andy Carroll is desperate to play and is ready to do his bit for the team and we are confident that the return of all of our injured players will lead to an upturn in our fortunes.

Thereafter, our second priority is to bring in the new talent needed to bolster our squad in the most needed areas. January is not an easy time to do business but we are pleased to confirm we are close to securing one of our key striking targets. A defender is high on the list of priorities as well and progress is being made on that front.

Despite our difficulties, what has remained consistent throughout the past few weeks and months is the unwavering level of support you have shown for the team home and away. We took over 3,000 fans to Fulham on New Year's Day and nearly the same number again to Nottingham on Sunday. That has been a constant and successful theme since our record-breaking season under Sam in 2011/12 and I know everyone at the Club is extremely grateful for the unique backing you provide to the team every week.

Following the Cardiff fixture, we have two more vital games in January before a hugely significant February, which has three massive home games. We will go into those games with a much-improved squad and we remain confident that we can turn our season around.

Whilst we have exceeded expectation off the pitch this year, by providing the Olympic Stadium and financial stability by taking personal responsibility for the Club's inherited debts of £100 million, we know that quality on the pitch is more important to you.

We have 103 employees that directly relate to the football teams, but we also have 477 colleagues who work behind the team across all areas of the Club. All of these people are key to our success. We continue to invest in the development of their future by ensuring that West Ham United remains a great place to work.

We understand these are difficult times for the Club and its supporters, but we must stay united and come through the other side together. Please support us and the team - we have no desire to be where we are and we are all doing everything in our power to improve this unenviable situation.

Thank-you once again for your fantastic support.

David Sullivan and David Gold

Joint-Chairmen, West Ham United

January is now into 5/4 (odd?) and next leave 1/2ahead of Pardew and Lambert at 8/1

Bet Allardyce wasn't best pleased to see that released...

Doesn't board support normally come just before they tighten the noose and push you off the stool?

4-1 was a great price, but I can't help to think that to a team like West Ham the FA cup at this stage is irrelevant to them. Sam will not or should not lose his job over it because they have to stay in the premier league. If he hasn't got the squad to stay in the cup then so be it. I know a couple of West ham fans and they couldn't give a hoot about last wkend what they have said is they won't be happy at the end of the season but they can't see how they can change manager now.

Funny how some managers are Kings in the Championship but mere pawns in the EPL.

Re: fiorentina

My bet was cancelled today as well.

I emailed them as soon as the issue over the market was raised on here (Thursday). Seems too much of a coincidence that they cancel as soon as the bet does well.

Depending on how I feel, I may take this further but my gut reaction at the moment (back at work and knackered) is to leave it be. Will post up any correspondence if it gets com enough.

The market that the Fiorentina bet was placed in was clearly worded badly but it was priced up to to have 2 winning selections from it. Looks like some of you have got different answers from diff customer service reps too which is a shambles but all this cancelled now they have done well is crazy. It wasn't the bet you thought you were having and just looking at the maths of the market shows that.
