http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/sony-open/first-round-leader

Looking at the Golf and im not a huge fan of the price on Spieth or the man in form Zach Johnson to win the Sony open, however i am more keen on the 1st round leader price of the both of them. Jordan was joint T1 in the opening round of the last tournament and obviously Johnson is sizzling hot. No reason why they both cant put up a great first round and at 25.0 for Johnson and 34.0 for Spieth ive been quite happy to invest.

Throw it open for an endorsment, recommend:

Zach Johnson 1st round leader £5 win @ 25.0 with Betfair
Jordan Spieth 1st round leader £5 win @ 34.0 with Betfair

If this gets put on the 34.0 has gone with bf, so either need to leave it up and see if it gets matched, put it on with Spreadex if you have an account or go with next best which is Stan at 29.0.

The earlier starters (zach and jordan are late) are likely to have slightly better conditions today so I think that's why these prices are seemingly generous.

I did look at the weather forecast and although their seems to be showers around 10am the main difference seems to be the humidity, would this greatly affect the performance of professional golfers?

http://uk.weather.com/weather/hourByHour-USHI0026:1:US?pagenum=1&nextbeginIndex=0

the wind appears to pick up a bit later in the day (altho not quite as much as it did when I looked earlier)

At the very least you made me relook at it, maybe not for fred but for clarity ive done the two i have said but i have also added English and Kirk who go in the morning. cheers doubleup for the steer.

Spieth does def seem generous tho.....

One other slight advantage with early morning players in the 1st round leader market on Betfair is that the market is likely to be a bit more liquid if you want to lay some back.

Missed that day 1 price.  Seems a bit odd not having a bet on Jordan.  Just as he came good, feel like the best thing is to go our separate ways.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Allardyce sounding defeated. 'You can't keep losing football matches. We know the reasons why, but those reasons won't save you in the end.'

Jog him on, jog him on, jog him on!

What has it come to when we are willing a man to lose his job to win a value bet? Don't suppose Sam will mind, with his yearly wages what's the guesses on the compensation package if he gets he tin tack?

I'm sure he'll cope when he collects the compo from his £3m a year contract Cheesy

Fred did bet on the next Pope. Pretty sure the Hell in a handcart is locked up already.

What a bet that was from Dazzler!

All the sweeter now that bwin have turned out to be a bunch of wronguns.

Chris Smalling get some grief today for dressing as a suicide bomber.

Mate of mine went out as the 'Jaegerbomber' on NYE this year, and from what he told me it went down very well.

Stakhovsky is warming up now.

Mr Rubbish, excellent montage. Is the last picture the ex Wales flanker come polar explorer who's name evades me, and I don't like to Google cheat?

No idea, but the weather looks a bit parky to me. *

* All my own guesswork. T & C's apply.

Not enough love for Mr Kendall's fine pun and yes it is Mr Richard Parks.

He played four times for Wales and played for Perpignan, Leeds and The Dragons before a shoulder injury forced him to retire. Since then he has completed the 7-3-7 challenge http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/14118130 and most recently trekked to the South Pole Solo.

Remarkably, it started snowing badly after three days so instead of sitting it out or plowing on he turned around, trekked back to the starting point, waited for the snow to harden then started again. I guess that's a bit like starting a marathon. covering a few miles and it starts to piss down so you turn around, jog back to the starting line, reset the stopwatch and have another go.

It obviously worked for him because he broke the British record by TEN days. I'm a bit gutted about that as I fancied giving it a go next year, don't think I'll bother now.

Nick Young made a Lazarus style recovery to score 25 last night in a losing effort. I'm fkin thrilled for him. U boys are guilty about wanting big Sam on the dole? I wanted Nick wheeled off in a chair Sad

So reading that we are not waiting until after the Leeds game

Has this happened before?!!

As long as he doesn't appoint anyone before the next match we get paid anyway.

Maybe a bit late to put this up,

But I think that Roma to draw against Sampdoria is a bit big at a standout 9/2 with Betvic. Sampdoria have been unbeaten quite a few games, before losing to Napoli the other day, but they were a tad unlucky hitting the woodwork a few times and could have easily got something from the game.

Roma have lost to Juve quite badly having started well early on and this may well dent confidence. This is the Coppa Italia not a Serie A fixture.

Recommend small stakes on draw say 5 or 10 quid at 9/2 with Betvic. Kick off 1700.

Regards.

All the markets I've ever bet on have been 10 games, or the next appointment*

*Apart from that ROI market on the Betfair sportsbook

That's why I was so pissed at Ince going to Blackpool when he did, because Thommo only needed another week in the chair having done 8 matches in charge.

I had about a tenner on Ince at 33/1, but I stood to collect over £2k on Thommo Sad

If only I could claim the credit for the answer, but I can't, I was merely tipped off.

Love the idea of a little quiz with the gallery, and that is a great story, too.
