Arizona played local rival Arizona state last night the Sun Devils have a decent team and this could have been labeled the battle of the beanpoles as the wildcats 7 footer Kaleb Tacrzewski took on the sun devils 7 foot 2 inch Jordan Bachynski but it was not sweet music for Bachynski as our Wildcats took an early lead and were just relentless in dispatching the sun devils 91-68.

No daily report again today, nothing to report on in the way of placed or settled bets

Tomorrow is Saturday though, so my chance to go through lots of long term bets, good or bad

Bopara scored 24 of England's 300+ in Brisbane earlier, which is a frustration. Morgan got a hundred. 3 games to go and we need Ravi to come to the party.

I know I have been jocked off photos, but I nominate this as pic of yesterday

From the London Brooklyn Nets game

Two national anthems, Sir Paul McCartney watching, plenty of razzamatazz...and this

I saw the Ladbrokes money back offer for the Chelski v United game and what I am doing is backing the unders with my £25 at 1.91. The reason for this is I don't expect any of the two teams to crush the other so I don't think we will see a score of 3-0 or 0-4. If the match has goals I can't see only one team scoring. Therefore with my bet I am going to win if its a tight affair or win a free bet if it ends 2-1 or 1-3 etc etc.

Hope it makes sense.

If the Fred wants to follow I am more than happy. Smiley

The final round of Heineken Cup Group matches sees the Quarter final line up decided and one of the key outstanding games takes place at 6pm on Saturday at Welford Road where Pool  is decided between Leicester and Ulster

Although both of these sides have already booked their place in the knockout stages, there is still a lot to play for at Welford Road on Saturday. Leicester Tigers go into this pool decider two points behind leaders Ulster. The winners of the pool will get a home draw in the Quarter final, the runners up an away tie most likely at one of the top French sides. For Ulster, who have a real home advantage at Ravenhill in Belfast, this is an especially key game.

Leicester are the only English side through to the Quarter finals already and kept in contention for top spot with a win in Treviso last weekend. This extended their unbeaten run to ten matches and the Tigers have lost just once at home this season.

They also have been injury hit for much of this time, and this is now easing with key players like Anthony Allen, Steve Mafi, Graham Kitchener, Ed Slater, plus prop Logovi’i Mulipola all back in the last fortnight

Ulster are the only team to have won all five games in the pool stages in this season’s Heineken Cup. The side seem to have saved their best form for the Heineken Cup as they have been beaten four times already in the Pro 12 this season.

There was not much between the sides in October’s meeting, with Ulster winning 22-16, and this pool decider is likely to be just as tight. All five matches between them in this competition have been won by the home side.

I would expect Richard Cockerill’s side to edge past Ulster this weekend but would expect it to be very close, within one score either way. This would especially be the case if it comes up wet and/or windy.

Flood and Pienaar are 80%+ goalkickers, so whichever side is losing will be keeping it quite close by ticking the scoreboard over with penalties

Leicester Tigers are 8/13 outright and favoured by three to four points on the handicap for this game. Both look about right. For an interesting play, look at the “Winning Margin” Market.

BetVictor price Leicester to win by 1-5 points as a 5-1 shot. In the light of the handicap, the likelihood of this being a tight game and with a home Quarter final at stake that’s worth a speculative interest.

Recommendation

Leicester Tigers to win by 1-5 Points at 5-1 BetVictor £20

I don't think Thread can get on offers with Ladbrokes.  If people can get on, they should probably bet something at bigger odds.  You get value from the refunds and you are more likely to get a refunds if you back a 7/1 chance than a 6/4 chance. I haven't read the t and Cs as I have given up on Ladbrokes so may be wrong.  Of course if you can get 86 bets on you should do them all!

Finally. Others have indicated that Ladbrokes may use offers to close accounts so people should go to the shops and not do this online.

Thanks for the advice Doobs. I will definitely pop in the shop and place the bet.

Regarding the free bet I will definitely try to cash it out using betfair if my original bet loses.

....and we are back, up & running. Can't recall the last Fred bet I placed, must have been 4 or 5 days ago?

Thanks Rich.
