Just to be clear, may I still support the Patriots?

Ha!

Well I hope Man U score.

Even though I am not on, I would hate Ladbrokes getting away with this.  Come on United

Depending on what happens in the next half an hour, one of two things will happen in a Ladbrokes shop near you:

"Lucy, did you lay any bets on the United-Chelsea game?"
"Yes, Mr Area Manager, sir. Quite a few. We actually had a lady in to bet on 93 markets at a pony apiece"
"I see. Well, the scoreline was unexpected and United failed to score, so I am here to award you Employee of the Month!"

Or

"Lucy, did you lay any bets on the United-Chelsea game?"
"Yes, Mr Area Manager, sir. Quite a few. We had a dashing young man come in, sporting a Barbour gilet, a tweed flat cap and pink - sorry, coral - chinos. He bet a hundred markets at a pony apiece."
"Well, Lucy, as you know, this company does not tolerate failure and your gross and appalling error of judgment in accepting the word of that handsome fellow has cost this branch a not inconsiderable sum. Here are your cards."
"Can I say one thing in my defence?"
"Go ahead. It won't make any difference"
"We told Kimber to get out"
"See you Monday, Lucy."

I don't mean generally, obviously. That would be barbaric. Just they're all I have left for the superbowl!

Personally, I have no objection to you now cheering Adebayor goals, though cheering for Soldado ones may be frowned upon.

This covers the Ladbrokes and Spurs angles nicely:

Wilson was a third baseman, Brady and Kaep pitchers
