Very pleased to cap the weekend off with another losing bet.

After 20 odd texts from Liverpool fans I  hadnt heard from during a game for years, last week, not a dickie bird this week.

Surely all their batteries didnt run out at the same time?Huh?

Well I'm delighted too if your losing bet was betting against our beloved gooners.

Perhaps you could use this anti-bokking system all the way through until the end of the season.

At least that way someone would have spent some money to get arsenal into the top four.

Arry's squad is turning into a Battersea Dogs' Home of players who can't be rehoused, don't mix well with others and who are prone to being unwell.

I suppose if anyone can sort him out, it's him.

I had a search but couldn't see any bets for Scottish independence? I have tonnes of family and friends that are Scottish and I have been involving myself in a lot of debates. The vast majority seem to be well affirmed Yeses atm.

Recent polls show 37% Yes, 44% No, 19% Don't know. Apparently when the 19% dunno people were told they only had the 2 options the final vote was 47% Yes, 53% No.

These polls were done before Osborne and Cameron et al proclaimed that it would be an affirmative No to a sterling union. This has angered a lot of the Scots and has resulted in a sort of 'English think they will bully us aye, we'll show them' attitude which is picking up force throughout the country.

Anyone have any opinions or any of the jock blondes got a say?

Yes is 7/2 all over the place.

http://www.oddschecker.com/politics/british-politics/scottish-independence/referendum-outcome

I am on @ 6/1.  Not only because I thought it was value but because I believe it is the best course for Scotland.    I firmly believe that people like to vote for something rather than against it.  With all the bluster from Westminister and the "your too wee, too daft, too poor chat", the you can't do this you can't do that chat, the people will vote for independence.

I am also very involved politically on the ground and I have attended a number of mettings across the country and canvassed various areas and in Glasgow, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Dundee, ithe majority of people I have spoke to and with are voting yes.   In 2 housing estates in glasgow's east end we canvassed over 3,000 people who were all yes voters.

I am not sure 7/2 is still value as its pretty much a coin flip at the moment when the undecided are taken out and every time there is a debate or utterring from Westminister all it does is drive the yes side forward.  I also expect that in the coming months there will be a larger number of former Scottish Labour Stalwarts who will make the journey to YES.  We already have Alex Mosson, Sir Charles Gray, Dennis Canavan and others on board.
i live in an area where we have had an snp MP since 1987 and i honesty thought there would be a huge Yes vote in the area but on my facebook they is alot more No voters than yes voters
personally i haven't made my mind up there are plus and neg on both sides the biggest neg now is that unlike when i was younger the SNP are no longer planning on stepping out of politics once Scotland becomes independent
and i HATE alot of there policies

Scenarios for Great Britain

- If GB win both their matches on 17 February they are through in either second, third or fourth depending on Sweden and China's results.
- If GB win one of their remaining matches they will either finish in the top four by rights or in a tie for fourth. In the latter scenario, they would then face an elimination match or matches (if there are multiple teams tied for fourth) to determine whether they advance to the semi-finals.
- If GB lose both matches they could still finish in a tie for fourth. As above, they would then face elimination matches to determine whether they advance.

Hayley through on Dancing on Ice, in a bit of a shock Suzanne Shaw went out after being in the bottom two with Kyran Bracken. Ray "Quinny" Quinn still scoring maximums for fun. When put on the spot the stand in judge wouldn't commit to who would win as he has seen the best skater lose before on the show. I'm Clutching at straws really as Ray is trading on betfair around 1.12ish. Although a fan of Hayley's has tweeted she voted 35 times for her tonight, a few more of these types of fans would be nice. I better get my voting boots on, Any chance of borrowing someone's husband for speed dialling duties?

Valencia keeper Diego Alves has saved 14 of 29 penalties faced in all competitions.

After tonight's save

pretty impressive stuff really.

Messi, Ronaldo, Costa, Kanouté(x2) Llorente, Mandzukic, Verdú, Rakitic, Adrian, Nekounam, Edu, Víctor, San José, Rakitic is fair list of players to.

Bank of England Deputy Governor of the Monetary Policy Committee news...

I've found out when the successful candidate will be announced: 19 March.

What a sweat you're getting for £1.24!

The NBA AllStar game is tonight Tony. The only feedback my previous post got probably just confused u more as it brought in more prospective bets. I don't like the suggested Steph Curry bet, he's more than short enough imo.

Griffin at ladbrokes 12/1 is also perfect for any of those £25 free bets, Davis at 28/1 is too big, I've also had a fiver on Johnson at 80s....just reminding u should u wanna bet. Game is live on BT Sport at 1am. I managed to have the second in both the skills challenge (7/2) and three-point contest (10/1) so no doubt Griffin will come second, much like my nut flush did v a str8 flush in the GPS yesterday.

That's an easy one, vote Yes then vote the SNP out. A Yes vote is not a vote for the SNP.
