I like the wi to win it, and think australia are a lay. Any time I can get 5/4+ on a decent team in a short format against a similar one, I'm there.

agree with both

Did Fred every get on Athletico Madrid for the Champions League, I know we discussed it before.

I would also be on Man U, you just can't not back them at the price.

We don't know whats going to happen in next 2 games, 2 decent wins and United are going into a game full of confidence.

Also like opposing Hearts again tonight, I think I have made my feelings perfectly clear on them before.  But have swerved from backing against them in recent weeks as the prices seemed to be about spot on for their opponents.  I am also hearing rumpurs of some discontent within the squad due to the protracted takeover.  There are players who could be up shit creek without a paddle if the takeover doesn't go through.

The 8/13 available on Betty seems more than fair to me for Dundee United tonight.

Also if you have a bet with McBookie/VC they are offering £25 back as a free bet if a penalty is scored on certain markets.  I have backed Nadir Ciftci FGS @ 5/1

Nice, slippery each-way number at Lingfield tomorrow (3.50).

Fourteen runners, 7/4, 11/2, 6/1, 16/1 bar with a favourite drawn in 14 of 14 over 1m2f, a trip over which they're soon into the first bend. That draw would have been a killer on the old surface but it's still a handicap even now.

Farraaj won this as the 6/4 favourite last year and has no penalty for that. A few firms are a quarter first three. Suggest £25 each-way with 8eight8 or uni, otherwise 6/1 fifth the odd with spoils.

Spooky timing.

I also think we should have a small interest at Lingers in the race before.

Sir Robert Cheval 3.15

Looked a big baby back in November when picking up a win, and a second over C&D. It always looked to me to be one to back when a 3 year old.

With Kirby up I think we should have a small £10 ew with BMU @12s

Good start for Arizona ncaa bet.  They are hosing up in their first round game with 7 minutes left and the 5 seed in their qtr was busto'd today potentially making their draw through easier in the 3rd round.

Been having a look at this...

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/racing-specials/long-term/2014-british-flat-jockeys-championship/handicaps

Think there's an argument for backing Hughes giving a start all round. He's as dominant as any jockey in recent times (think a modern-day Nat Flatman before pressing the rebuff button) and I could see him pushing 220 this year. An interesting one each-way @ 15/1 a quarter top four anyhoo.

Any of the other racing boys got a view here?

arizona only won by 9 in the end but is was a very comfortable 9 pt win our next opponents start in a few minutes Gonzaga v Oklahoma st. Gonzaga would be a better match up i think as OK st has more talent and have played well their last few games.

Looks good for top 4 Chompy.

Shame Barzelona backed in to 10s. Wouldn't have minded 15s on the 115 start.

Said I wouldn't, but just for those Fredites who don't read Chess Thread (if such people exist) but who have bet on Levon Aronian to win the Candidates Chess, here is the crosstable at the halfway mark:

Aronian v Anand tomorrow from 9am.

Not sure about O'Sheen tbh. Balding kept the numbers down last year to preserve his claim. Guess he'll ride more this time but he'd need to top a century to have a chance, so would need to ride around 600. Can't see it myself. Still prefer Robert Tart among the apprencites myself.

Anyone use that service that pings you when a horse is entered up? If so, stick Impulsive Moment in please. This can be our official TfT horse to follow 2014.
