Mr Tighty.

I saw you proposed the drop goal in the Munster game on Betpal at Evs. Well Ladbrokes have it at 11-8. Any interest?

Thanks Mr hector.

Tighty does not bet his own stuff, so I'll have to decide, but here is his article, as published on BetPal.com.

Toulon v Munster (Sunday)

Holders Toulon are 1/3 favourites to return to the final following their semi-final with Munster on Sunday in Marseille. Toulon beat Leinster comfortably in the their home quarter-final and their star-studded side have to be worthy favourites. Travelling to the South of France is going to be tough for Munster, who thrashed Toulouse 47-23 in their home quarter.

They have a power game based on a rugged pack of forwards and a strong maul but Toulon tend to match up well with power, and have a significant advantage in likely warm dry conditions as they have a more all-round game in the backs.

Jonny Wilkinson has been cleared to resume his quest for a glorious swansong to his glittering career after a hamstring injury. The former England fly-half is fit after missing Toulon’s last two matches. Bryan Habana, the Springbok wing, is also desperate to make a mark after four months out with a thigh injury.

Toulon are 7 point favourites on the handicap.  If pressed I would say they will cover, but it doesn’t offer too much scope. I expect them to win, but Munster’s defence led by the talismanic Paul O’Cnnell may well hold out for quite a while. I am more interested in the Even money that Paddy Power offer on the game featuring a drop goal. With Wilkinson and Ian Keatley of nster prolific kickers, I would put a drop goal as an odds on shot.

....and here is the Oddschecker Market......

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/heineken-cup/toulon-v-munster/drop-goal

So, should we climb aboard for a modest sum @ 11/8? He Recommended it @ Evens.

I have had £20 @ 11/8 with Ladbrokes on my own Accont, if Fred wants it, I'll simply transfer it across, but it has to be before the price shortens.

Villa are 12/1 with the red shouty man to go down. The other bookies range from 8/1 to 11/1.

One point in their last six games, two coaches suspended for undisclosed/unconfirmed reasons and a squad who look like they've sorted their summer holidays out. Rumours the owner is looking for an exit strategy, which he refused to quash the other day. They are almost entirely reliant on the mercy of the teams below them.

Villa fans will hate me for this, but it's reminiscent of Birmingham City, who switched off completely after winning the Carling Cup and couldn't switch back on. The draw to Fulham committed Blues to a feeling of resignation and they were sent down by two Pavlyuchenko goals on the last day against spurs. The problem for Villa is the same: they are having difficulty getting their mindset back on winning games and it gets harder with each loss to do that.

A decisive result in the lunchtime kick off (Cardiff a point ahead of Sunderland, but the Mackems have a game in hand) would add more pressure. Sunderland's goal difference isn't substantially worse than Villa's, so if they were to catch them.up in points, there wouldn't be much difference in GD.

The one game Villa fans are looking at is against Hull. Naturally, Hull have other priorities with the FA Cup ahead, but players will be playing for their places and the press would love the reminder that Steve Bruce used to sit in the dugout at St Andrew's. They then play Man City.

The teams below Villa look like they're fighting. Villa simply don't. If it goes down to the last day, Villa travel to White Hart Lane to play one of their bogey teams. The last 11 games against spurs have seen three draws and eight losses. They have lost their last four against spurs.

If they lose to Hull, they are staring down the barrel.

Recommend £10 on Aston Villa to be relegated at 12/1 with The Red Shouty Man.

Treve to win Both races was 4/1 somewhere as a special

Which two races?

Vincent Tan's horsey is not named as yet. Must be odds-on he calls it Vincent Tan though.

The Richard Hughes bet above is on the handicap market. I'm talking about possibly backing Hughes to be champion jockey at evens.

Totally agree with this myself.  Managed to get £200 on myself this morning and they haven't changed the price.  They can only be happy to lay for liability reasons.

the problem i have with this is who gets the 3 or 4 points needed to overtake Villa?

Norwich v Arsenal and Chelsea?

Fulham at Stoke, home to Palace?

Sunderland at Man U. Home to WBA a possible, would need to win today...

Villa can, and very well may, stay up without winning another point?
