exciting news from the fens

Tikay/Tighty,

Now would be a good time to effectively close out the Posh to finish bottom half bet, by backing top half at 5-4 with Victor. Have £40 at that price.

Now Fergie and his hopeless coaches have left we've got a chance of beating Donny again in the match bet.

so i did it

Top Half Finish - 2014/15 Peterborough (Specials - Specials) Odds: 5/4 Stake: 40.00 Possible Return:  90.00

this i think executes a three point turn that will be impossible to report accurately each week but what we want is....

" We actually have a decent book now, with the perfect scenario seeing both finish bottom half and Poshies finishing above Donny."

Just had a look at that beteveryday offer, at first glance really liked city at 5/2 at home and as they've hit a purple patch recently, though then just checked Barcas previous results and they've scored quite a lot of goals haven't they? Albeit they had a 1-0 loss at home to Malaga last weekend. Still 23/20 gotta be too short for Barca away so sth like back city/draw pre match and the other inplay? Draw is a similar price at 13/5.

Anyone looked at the Oscars?

Can Boyhood really be that short for best picture? Saw it the other day, was like a three-hour episode of Party Of Five.

The Oscar nominations are all out

http://www.theguardian.com/film/live/2015/jan/15/oscars-nominations-2015-live

http://www.oddschecker.com/awards/oscars

anyone with any knowledge, opinions or value, please let us know in the next couple of weeks

Watched Birdman last night, and thought it was very strange.

From my experience, that makes it a firm Favourite mate!

Birdman won the Producers Guild Award over Boyhood for Best Movie, the last 7 winners of the PGA have went on to win Best Picture at Oscars.

Birdman is best 9/2, Boyhood 1/4.

Easy Cheesy

John Cena lost tho  Angry

Good shout, cheers!

Lucky the WWE was with Sky, so I could only get a fiver on Cheesy

Any early F1 thoughts from anyone (i have a theory that if i post this Peter27 will appear like the shopkeeper in Mr Benn, as if from nowhere in a puff of smoke)

i have been following testing, for example last week in Barcelona

and then in limited time trying to marry up what we were seeing with prices

it can be difficult to see for smoke and mirrors for testing times but so far

- ferrari have been suprisingly quick

- there are suggestions of a more competitive red bull this year

- lots of teething problems for the new Honda/McLaren partnership

- Mercedes lots of laps, plenty of reliability and still appear to be the pace of the field

the medium was reputedly 1.2 secs slower than the softs last week...

so there is another test to come, and no ante-post rush

but in these markets if there is a springer, or some value, please shout

... and as if by magic, Peter appears.

I do read (nearly) every post on here, but I remain a bit of a lurker unless there is motorsport to discuss

Really hard to get a read on anyone this early on - ALL teams can go quicker, without exception. It's all about determining how much they are sandbagging (purposefully slowing the cars down) by. I'm due to do some analysis on this tonight, so I'll be able to provide a better insight then.

However the early headlines are:

- Ferrari are in good shape, however Mercedes still have a massive margin and will almost certainly win both titles again barring any miracles.
- McLaren are in terrible shape. We expected them to be poor given the switch to Honda power, but their car has been incredibly unreliable.
- Lotus look in pretty good 'nic.
- We haven't seen the 2015 challengers of Force India or Manor GP (formerly Marussia) yet.

With the final pre-season test due to finish next Sunday, that is when I will post most of my pre-season bets. However I am constantly on the lookout for value in the markets.

One thing I will say is; I give Rosberg the edge in the title hunt this season now that Lewis has split up with Nicole once again. They'll probably be back together in a few days .. but it's emotional turmoil like this that affects Lewis' performances. Stupidly the bookies have given Lewis a considerable edge (even though it was pretty close last year) and so I would strongly recommend TFT to make a sizeable bet (£50?) on Rosberg at over 3/1. I got nearly 4/1 on the betfair exchange last week Smiley

Honestly can't comment too much, send me a PM if interested, but I have hugely close connections to Mercedes and all is not as good as it seems.

Just be cautious, there's a reason for the extended testing.

I have close F1 connections myself, and I suspect I know what you're going to say - but I'll message you now.

Don't know how much you'll get on but Darragh has just been on local radio saying Grant McCann isn't ready for the manager's job.

He's 7/4 fav with Victor. Suggest £20 on Dave Robertson at 14/1. He's in temporary charge and you never know in these spots. If they decide to play for him he might just get it.

Feel free to stick it on TfT.

Next Permanent Peterborough Manager Dave Robertson (Outright - Specials) Odds: 14/1 Stake: 20.00 Possible Return:  300.00

Got a possible bet on next championship manager to be sacked market.

My team Sheffield Wednesday have been bought by new Thai owners.

Stuart Gray has done a good job in last year taking the club into mid table with limited resources.

In last 10 games the wins have dried up, we have the lowest goals scored in the league and despite buying 5 players in the January window results have been poor.

Football is fickle at the best of times, fans are impatient and the new owners will demand results quickly.

Rumours are he has 2 games to save his job.

We play Millwall away tomorrow and Middlesboro at home this weekend.

Gray is 14/1 to be next manager to go, it's definately value at 14/1 and worth £10 investment with betvic'r

Yep, got risks but still shorter than a 14/1 shot.

Would help the bet if Wednesday lose/draw tomorrow night. Middlesboro will be a tough game too.

Don't think the Thais have paid £30m to sit back and be patient personally, feels unfair on Gray, we'll see.

Love a manager punt...

Is TFT going underground, or has everyone become a Mason?

Whats with all the PM'ing stuff?

The 2 are at DTD, so I'm guessing that a couple of bets have been PMd so as to bring them to Rich's attention?
