£50 on Miss V Azarenko @ 2/1 with BetVictor, as strongly recommended by MereFence.

Really enjoying this thread, very theraupautic.
Hope we can keep it going.
Chompers keeps suggesting we should get our betting boots on & up the Stakes to £100 a time, I'm more inclined to wear betting carpet slippers & keep to current stakes.
What do the Senior Degens think?
We gonna go with the flow.
As a senior but not a degen, as this is proper punting money and it presumably doesn't affect your ability to do the weekly shop either way....
At £40-50 a pop you are going to hang around £800-1200 for ever, I feel
Go for it (unless its tennis bets, then keep the stakes low lol), make it a £100 a bet a reload as necessary

Anyone know how our "most 180's" bet is going along, please?
Just to refresh, what bet/price do you have on Anderson?
I have all the stats somewhere
£50 @ 11/8, "most 180's". In, I assume, the Premier League. Not been much of a sweat for me so far, as I don't know how often they play, what nights, when it ends, anything, but we will get up to speed in due course.
Its thursday nights, for about 12 weeks
He has started terribly (against expectation), but there is a long way to go
Thanks Guy. Might watch it tomorrow, have no other plans.
I did watch it one week, & to be honest, & I thought it was just totally horrendous to watch, a warehouse full of disrespectful drunken "fans" shouting & screaming abuse at the "villain", & all nicey wicey to the home player.
It was like watching One Day Cricket, where, instead of decent people, "Members", watching, in their striped ties & badged blazers with shiny buttons, all the Argos & Nandos chavs turn up in their shell suits.

Not sure if this is too short for the TFT thread.
Backing Nick Watney to triumph over Darren Clarke in their 1st round match at the Accenture World Match play at a generally available 2/5 is basically pinching money.
Clarke is playing awful off the tee and this course demands accuracy from the tee against watney who has not hit top form yet but is ticking along ok.
Everything required of someone to do well at this course is missing from Clarkes game currently, too many putts, errant off the tee, poor scrambling, too fat, too unhealthy.
Watney has decent form on this course in this tournament and will absolutely crush Clarke. I'm on for the car.

Rugby Union
Sport of Kings.
No chavs here, and we've never heard of Argos
This weekend sees Wales travel to your gaff to play England at Twickenham
Both teams have won 2 out of 2 this Championship
However there the similarity ends
Wales are a mature rounded side, and especially potent in the backs. They can put up points.
England are turgid, and very much rebuilding.
They have an outside centre in Brad Barritt who is a) South African b) built like a large shed and c) has as much chance as creating an overlap as said large shed. He can defend though.
Wales are 4/6 to win, and this does not represent too much value in isolation. It's about right. They should win
However these days Rugby Union is beginning to resemble its lesser Northern Cousin. Much more boring, due to rule changes that has seen defences much more able to stifle attack for long periods of matches.
Typically games are closer for longer. For example, at half time of the recent Wales v Scotland game, a stiff and fresh Scottish defence held the match to 3-3 at half time, final score was 27-13 Wales as the game opens up when defences get tired, subs are made etc etc. It helped that Scotland had players in the sin bin too.
I expect similar this weekend. Tight and close for 40 minutes, and Wales strike runners to punch it home after half time
The value here is as follows:
England to be winning ht, Wales ft at 13/2 (William Hill)
England winning at ht is a genuine even money shot, first halves tend to be tight kicking duels. Wales should win over 80 minutes
recommend a small one here £20 to win £130 or similar.

Sorry....this is the first time they've done this ffs
Yellow Card for Kimber.
No "sorries" please, we take the wins & the losses in good heart, it's a fun thread, & I enjoy it more & more. If all our punts were winners, it'd not be as much fun as the addicts might think, it's that "buzz" we enjoy from the uncertainty.
Fair enough, and I'm enjoying the thread lots, just annoying that this info came out so soon to tip-off that it meant it was probs too late for you to alter your bets and get out of it (which is what I did), probs had an hour to spare. They literally had no chance once they'd dropped their two veterans, for a team on an 11-game winning streak to lose by 40 would almost require a steward's but with this compressed schedule I guess teams will do this every now and then. Not seen it so pronounced at any time this season before tho, to give both veterans the night off together basically means forfeiting the fixture, seems daft two days before the All-Star break. Opens up lots of betting possibilities if and when it happens again, was becoming obvious something was amiss when all the US syndicate money was going one way.

Maybe set stakes according to the bankroll, if it gets to £1200 (in totals and live bets) up stakes by £25, keep doing so every £200 extra in the pot. If it gets below, back to £50s, the min bet

With the darts, you kind of have to either embrace the crowd, or ignore them completely. There is definately tension and excitement in a good game of darts, more than people would think.
If you do not appreciate this clip, for the incredible skill involved, then I recommend you dont watch a night of darts (also watch how impeccable the crowd are and how much they appreciate it).

180's Premier League
Hamilton 10
Taylor 10
Lewis 9
Van Barneveld 9
Whitlock 7
Wade 6
Painter 3
Anderson 3
This is after 2 weeks of 14.
Anderson has the lowest average so far of around 83, which is super league at best and he must improve, and will. That is an average which will have him finishing bottom.
He is probably the most 'streaky' player out there, when he hits form he hits it hard and can run away from opponents, I think he is the hardest player to bet on as you don't know if Bobby George or Boy George will turn up.
Bet far from dead, although obviously a poor start.

Thanks, top stuff. If it were a Market that were Traded on Betfair, one assumes there would be some opportunities to have a little sport along the way, Anderson must be out with the washing now, surely his price can only go one way.

Quality stuff, Rich, & we get the Freeroll of loads of rubs included, "lesser Northern cousins" indeed. Mentions of Argos were a bit much, imo, shocking snobbery there.

The suggested Rugby & Golf Bets - I'll take a look at the markets shortly, & get involved.
Thanks.

4/5 bookies still have the market running, Anderson is generally a slight fave and now a best price 9/4.
I wouldn't touch that personnally but Taylor hit 8 180's in 14 legs v Lewis in the 1st week so 8/9 in week of hitting his rythym not out the question.
Because of the way Taylor lands his darts in the board he covers the last dart for T19 a lot more than others, his figure of hitting 177's must be a lot higher than everyone.
If you told all players all 3 darts must be at the T20, Taylor would hit the most imo.
