Can one reasonably assume from that exemplary masterpiece in brevity that we did our bollox?

My tip is either to lay Federer 2-0 (currently 1.27) match.

when llodra had set point in 2nd set this looked inspired

When Federer won the first set 6-0 I was questioning if I was fit to ever give a tip again Wink

fwiw i'm expecting del potro to win the first set fairly comfortably against dolgopolov, then dolgo to have a chance to come back into it. Del Potro has played 9 matches in 11 days, and Dolgo seems to take a while to work opponants out usually, so the longer the game goes, the better.

Llodra vs Federer looks very interesting to me today. It's one of those bets that I find most interesting... Fed is 1.06/1.07, and I agree it's VERY likely he'll win, but I doubt very much that he will have it all his own way; he will certainly go to a high price than that during the game.

I've often thought that Llodra is an excellent player- I believe he concentrated on doubles primarily last year and was disappointing when I saw him playing singles- but I watched him the other day vs Dolgopolov, and he played very well; he's also recently beaten Tipsarevic in straight sets, which is not easy to do, I look at these results as being signs of recapturing his old form.  Federer has been in fairly decent form, but is not playing at his highest level right now; I saw him struggle vs Davydenko a few weeks ago.

My tip is either to lay Federer 2-0 (currently 1.27) or if you have time to watch the match and trade, back Llodra at 16.5 to win the match and hope he takes a lead in the match.

There are actually 3 potential upsets on today... Baghdatis to upset Tsonga, Dolgopolov to upset Del Potro and Llodra/Fed. By the time i've got round to posting this they've nearly finished the 1st set in the Baghy game, not sure he's going to do it, but I love Dologopolov, and DelP might be tired after his recent excursions.

Edit: HILARIOUS tipping by me, Federer on FIRE, Llodra has hardly won a point, very sorry to anyone who put any money on it.

Have to say, I swerved this, hope you understand, but many of us are nursing some fairly painful tennis losses right now......

glad i remember this when del hotto was trading at 1.03 traded for zero profit/loss if he doesnt win so freerolling on del potro now but its not looking good for him as this match draws on just wish i had taded more off

Do you bet with Laddies Tony?

I invest wherever I am told, Phil, I'm now a slave to Team Degen.

I have a little money on their Online Poker Room, been there years, & every 3 months they write to me & charge me for being a dormant client, which thrills me no end. I'd like to really give them some grief, but I also happen to own a few thou of their shares. #RockAndAHardPlace.

Just  a small bet on the golf mate.

£20 Marc Leishman to finish in the top ten of the Honda classic 10/1 with Laddies. Leishman plays his best golf on hard courses( two of his best 3 finishes last year were in events that were won by 8 under or worse) and is a very strong wind player, which will need to be the case this week.

He has finished top twenty in his last 2 starts and been in the top 20 here the last two years( why arent we betting him for the top twenty then?, well he is about three times the price for the top ten as the top twenty)

The top ten market has a lot of % in it in general so isn't much value most of the time but Laddies seem to have weighted their market very heavily at the top end( their Rory price is abs madness) so in a a week that looks to be very different from most US events Leishman might go well.

I like the bet Phil, thanks, chance of a decent sweat for a few days if he starts reasonably well.

Why is this "different to most US Events", though? Is it simply because the course is tougher than usual?

Bansha Mo t4 8.15 Wimbledon, posting bit late as some prices gone but take 9-4 bet365- sp will be 13/8

ON

£50 @ 9/4, Bet365.

Trap 4 @ 9/4
£50.00  Single 28/02/2012 12:53:53 50.00 0.00

If this wins due to it being a live sky race and at 2-1+, you will have a free 50 quid bet in the next race.

You just place the bet as usual in the 835, for £50 and if it loses 365 will credit the losses back to your account.

Just thought i'd mention this as a very +ev offer.

Good luck with this. Smiley

Am very glad people swerved, of the 3 upsets I predicted could happen I'm 0/3. I think I picked the wrong thread to post them in too... the idea of taking on these long-shots are that they'll be profitable in the long-run- it's more of a tip that they could get turned over rather than they will. Unfortunately if they keep missing the balance goes down and down, and I'm not personally rolled to keep taking them on right now.

I'll keep following the thread and try and chip in where I can, hope no-one lost much on my efforts today.

Reading my new Cheltenham guide, betting on the odds to win over evens (horse numbers) has a slight advantage over evens as there's one more of them in every race with odd numbers of runners. Currently available at just over evens at betfair.

Does that count or is it a silly bet too?
