La Liga Primera division; Getafe play Real Zaragoza last game of the season on Sunday. Getafe are safe, Zaragoza must win. Getafe the home side are 6.0 on Betfair as we speak. Zaragoza 1.64. Draw 4.5.
The closest equivalent fixture in our league this Sunday is Stoke at home to Bolton; Stoke 2.4, Bolton 3.1 Draw 3.7.
Why are the away side such clear favourites in Spain? Has it been decided already by shifty looking business men in a bar with all manner of leather brief cases at their feet?
Think it's to do with the fact that other clubs can offer bonuses to teams for results in Spain.
So relegation rivals could pay Getafe a bonus if they avoid defeat and ensure Zaragoza go down. I assume that teams may under perform on purpose if not offered these bonuses as a way of making sure they get them in the future.
What, legally?
Oh wow.
Trying to check, I thought it was legally but it might just be rumours that it happens.

The Tackling in this game is disgusting.
Getafe now got 8 men left.

although i agree with the principal that games are given to certain sides sometimes at this time of year this was not one of them
was just a case of a side in form and one completely out of it
massive shock that villareal are down would have been any price at season start

What would happen if one or two more had been sent off - game abandoned, presumably, but what happens to the "result"?

Nice one horsey, you flagged that one up almost a week ago, & you read it spot on.
If only it were always so straightforward......

thanks i would not call it that straightforward it was a very very strange affair with getafe more intent on reducing numbers than attacking but you would hardly accuse them of a lack of effort either

Daily Summary, as at C-O-B Sunday 13th May
Fortunately, our 3 "big" bets all got home, so we realised some equity from our unsettled bank. We had a bunch of bits & bobs today, & these ate up all that profit, so that was not too bright. I was a little trigger-happy today, need better discipline.
Poulter, who started so brightly in the TPC, just got worse as it progressed, flattering only to deceive. Ditto Ben Crane.
That's about it, I think.
Serena Williams did us a favour though, we have her at a great price in the French Open after her efforts today.

What's coming up?
Nothing, apart from long-range & ante-post stuff.
I heard that a bloody dog won BGT, is that true? If so, was it named Paige Turley?
If "no", that's another bet down the swanee, & our "entertainment" bets rest on MANTIS, God help us.

Please note I'm off for a few days holiday, starting at silly o'clock Monday morning.
I'll be offline during the day, but Online first thing each morning, & evenings, only. I will be coming back home late on Wednesday.
Keep the bets coming though, I'll get them on assuming enough notice is given.

By whole life is a break, but yes, thank you. Worry not, I have the camera with me.
Follow me on FlightRadar? Be my guest. BMI, Heathrow - Nice, probably in an aged 737, due to take off 0810 tomorrow morning, or thereabouts.
