Thoughts on pardew next spurs boss?

I say this as a spurs fan: why would pardew want to leave Newcastle for spurs? He is hero-worshipped there now after the season Newcastle have had.

Levy will go for a big enough name to keep the likes of Bale around. Moyes seems to be respected enough. After that, you start looking at the international options: benitez, capello (I feel sick!).

Pardew defo not hero-worshipped in Newcastle, grudginly respected yes, hero-worshipped, never. Managers like Keegan and Sir Bobby were absoluet heroes, could do no wrong, Pardew Out if we lose the first 3 or 4 games next yr imo

Yeah, only a matter of time before he is finishing 4th when he should have finished 3rd.

Daily Summary, as @ 0800, Thursday June 14th.

A small profit yesterday, one small bet, one small win. I'll take that. The win was for Portugal, thanks Fraser, & was advised to be a bigger bet, but I'm being a little nitty right now, until & unless we spot some real value.

I corrected the error I made the previous day, when I booked a "DNB" as a win, when in fact it was a void, so overall, we stood still really.

We have been treading water for a month or more now, but I sensed signs of a turn in our fortunes yesterday.

Some of our running bets showed signs of life.

In NBA, Miami LOST the first of the "final" games v Thunder, so are 1-0 down now. That's a good thing.

Surrey - T20 Bish Bash Bosh - won their opener.

Gomez scored not once, but twice, two really lovely goals too.  Not sure who has most goals so far, (anyone know, please?) but he must be in with a shout, even more so because Germany look set for a good run at Euro12, so more opportunities beckon. Another £5 Bonus for that, too, thanks to Mr Ladbroke.

RVP scored, too, another lovely strike, though unless Holland pull their socks up, he'll be going home soon. Not too optimistic on that one.  Mr Bendtner did not help. I confess, I had Bendtner in my mind as a Sunderland, not Arsenal, player, but as ever, that was a misread by me, I'm sure the bookies will have him down as an Arsenal man, correctly I guess. The Huntelaar punt looks dead in the water to me.

Agger never scored, though, and plucky Denmark may yet be around for a while, though with hindsight, that bet looks a tad optimistic.

We shall see.

Dzagoev and Gomez joint top with 3 goals after 2 games

Shevchenko amongst those on 2, after 1 game

Chances, I would say, mainly as Germany must be a good bet for last 2/last 4

Thanks Rich. We have longevity on our side, we hope. Gomez did look very sharp last night, I thought. We've sen so many "big names" miss sitters so far, Torres, RVP, etc.

Optimistic

I thought the key thing last night for Gomez was that Schweinsteiger had virtually unlimited time to pick out through balls to Gomez and De Jong and Van Bommel, the screens in front of the back 4, got nowhere near him in the first half. Probably won't have that time every game, but we'll see

Gomez finished both superbly too

In theory Germany win the group, play Poland/Denmark/Czech etc and then onwards

The bet must have every chance.

What's coming up?

In Bish Bash Bosh, the oh-so-gallingly named Welsh Dragons start their campaign today, weather permitting.

Miami must be due to play again today or tomorrow.

In Euro12, today it is Spain v Ireland, & Italy - Croatia. We have various small interests in those, bits & bobs mostly, the most near to hand being Croatia to qualify from their Group, for which they must be very strong favourites now.  We have £80 @ 7/4, down to Fraser, that's be a nice bink if it holds.

Then there is the small matter of the US Open.....

Well the Spreadsheet says "£5 bonus per goal", though I can't easily see the evidence behind that. doubleup will know, he never misses those things!

Please note I am working again tonight, so the shop will be shut from 6pm until Midnight for placing Thread Bets.

I also have 2 or 3 meetings today, so if we have bets for tonight's affairs, post early, please.

Thanks.

US Open.

This starts, effectively, around midday today, so time is short.

We have been given a bunch of lovely little long-priced darts to lob, plus a Tiger bet, & I'll be placing those very shortly. No "stats" bets yet though.

I'll try & summarise them all together, so we know where we are.

yes £5 free bet per goal BUT the free bets must be used before close of business the day after they are added to the account.
