I run bad on this thread but I'll throw another dart

John Simpson v Paul Appleby

Simpson is one of the unluckiest boxers in the country.  His record is 22-9 however of those 9 defeats 5 of them were questionable.  One of them being against Appleby.  They fought four years ago with Appleby winning a UD 115-114, 115-114, 115-113.  I scored it 115-113 the other way but it was one of those fights that could have gone either way and neither could have argued with the result.  Appleby was a young prospect at the time and was expected to go on to bigger things.  Since then that hasn't happened and he has lost 3 of 7 being stopped in 2 of them and has failed to impress in any of them and has become very easy to hit.  Simpson has lost 3 of his last 4 however 2 of them were contentious points defeats to Stephen Smith and all were in British or Commonwealth title fights.  He was however stopped in for the first time in his last fight against Lee Selby.

Nothing I've seen since their first fight has made me think that this will be anything other than a close fight.  Simpson has impressed more since their first fight however he is coming off a stoppage defeat and stepping up in weight.   It's pretty much a pick 'em fight however Betfred are a massive 15/8 for a Simpson win.

Ignore. Just found out Simpson has had some personal problems of late. Pity I am already on.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/internationals/euro-2012/spain-v-portugal/spain-possession

VC are evens over 65.5% possession for spain
Stan James are 10/11 over 67% possession for spain

WillHill are 7/2 over 65% possession for spain

Suggests that's a bet based on the price of the other 2.

Please keep throwing the darts.  I would bet long odds on that you will be a long run winner.

Daily Summary, as @ 06:00, Wednesday June 27th

We had another winning day. Smiley

We had a bet on the number of sixes scored in the Kent v Middlesex T20 cricket match thanks to TightEnd. We were always ahead of the game and won with a bit to spare.

Keep the discussion on Euro2012 coming if it helps us find some winners.

What's coming up?

The first semi-final of Euro2012 (Portugal v Spain) is tonight at 7:45pm. We have money on more corners for Portugal and also for Portugal to qualify as part of a double. Heaps of goals for Llorente would be good too but that may be a trifle optimstic.

Wimbledon continues.

The European athletics chanmpionship starts in Helsinki.

There's domestic T20 cricket but neither of our runners (Surrey and Glamorgan) play today.

Snooker continues in China.

Remember, you're the "man in form" - it's the rest that should be nervous.
