What price Jenkins to beat Lewis?
Any chance we'll see 3/1?
Nah I reckon 2/1 max.
Had to sweat for my Lewis -4.5 there from 7-0. Hope the thread got on.
Was 9/4 tonight against Barney. I think we will definitely see 5/2 maybe 11/4.

I think 5/2 is the lowest I'd play at.
2/1 doesn't get me excited.

Their's a couple of prices for tomorrow night that im almost certain will be shorter come the off.
Winstanley most 180s 5/6 with Laddies
Newton v Pipe over 9.5 180's also Laddies
Can't see Jenkins being much bigger than 5/2

This is my first appearance in this thread for a few weeks, but fancy TEAM GB v Senegal tomorrow. According to the BBC, Senegal are missing quite a few players in the team, so more factors to get on GB to win?
I have seen price on WH and it's 4/7. Not sure if price is that good, but would be confident of return in this.

Mere Fred
I'll be in Vegas for the next month, starting now, & don't really know if I can or will be online enough, or at the right times, to look after Fred.
So, Mere has very kindly agreed to look after the shop in my absence.
He will use his discretion as to what to, or not, place, & he'll decide how much, exactly replicating my duties, except that he'll do it better. He'll be stricter, too, 'cos he's like that.
He will use his own accounts to place the bets, & he & I will keep an account, & settle up, either way, weekly, so given he is using my money, I imagine he will err on the side of caution.
I'm sure I'll be online a goodly bit, & he & I will be in regular contact, but this seems to make more sense.
Knowing how efficiently Mere runs the various Fantasy Leagues, he'll do a far better job than I ever could.
See you soon, & lets try & make a few bob.......
Good morning.
That Post (above) was 6 weeks, & 151 pages ago.
The thread has rumbled merrily along on in my absence, reinforced by Mere's lovely touch & feel for handling bets & people, & his hard work, but it's time for me to jump back in the saddle, as it's unfair to ask Mere to continue to do all this hard work.
He & I have agreed that he will take over the reins from time to time in future, such as on days or Evenings when I am unavailable or otherwise engaged, working or tending to my allotment, so I'm grateful for that. His next scheduled appearance will be Sunday evening, as I am working that night. Given that so many bets are time-precious, that will definitely make the whole process more efficient.
As I hinted may happen in the Post above, Mere has been noticeably nitty with his bet sizes, & what else could he do? Its very understandable that he would, he was "playing" with my money, & any Gentleman in those circumstances would be a shade uncomfortable punting away merrily with someone else's money.
So, I may edge some of the stake sizes up a little now. Dubs offered up £90 @ 1/3 last night, which Mere nervously accepted. If I were running the Shop, I'd have punted at least £32.50 there.
For the record, under Mere's stewarsdship, Fred made a nice little profit. I'll soon put a stop to that nonsense.
Huge thanks to Vincent.

Daily Report, as @ 07:40 Thursday July 26th
Remarkably, & rarely, we had THREE bets yesterday, all in the evening, & all three won. When did that last happen?
A Tighty Cricket special, which won hard-held, Chip Prince gave us a 180's punt which won cosily, & Dubai gave us a 1/3 shot which got home, if not as easily as may have been expected, but it got there all the same. I'll take that.
What price repeating that any time soon?
In the Rennies (unsettled.....) column, Ralphy Boy came up with a Golf Banzai, being Paul Wesselingh to win the Wrinklies Open (Golf) @ 100/1.
Our man tees off at 2.30pm today, there is intermittent coverage on Sky Sports, & the Live Leaderboard is here.....
http://www.europeantour.com/seniortour/season=2012/tournamentid=2012860/leaderboard/index.html
I am 100% certain that every single one of you are familiar with Paul Wesselingh, but for those who need reminding, our man is pictured below.
An oddity about Paul - & I suspect Ralph knew of the local connection, but Paul is the Pro for Kedleston Park Golf Club, a rather snooty but pleasing if goose-shit strewn course in Derbyshire, where I had my first ever golf lesson, & also the first course I ever played, & got ejected from.
The Course sits in the grounds of Kedleston Hall, which is rather grand on a summers evening when the Open Air Opera Concert is on. I'd be very surprised if Ralph has not played this Course a goodly few times.

There you go. Not much substance, but a bunch of pictures to cover the cracks.

What's coming up?
The World Matchplay Darts, from that splendid venue, continues this evening, & will be on Sky Sports..
The Olympics, which do not officially start until tomorrow, continue today. I believe it is called Day Minus 1, as opposed to yesterday, which was Day Minus 2. I kid you not.
I'm afraid I am not even half up to speed on the Olympics yet, so you must either help me, or bear with me. I confess, however, that I do not consider the early matches in the Olympics Football, men or women, is much of a betting medium, unless there is a market on Tedium Levels. Radio 5 Live covered the opening game in the Women's Tourney yesterday, & the colour commentator was the female equivalent of Alan Shearer, Geordie accent & all.
In Golf - proper golf, not wrinklies - Day Two of the Austrian Open continues, but it seems to hold little interest, judging by the avalanche of Posts about it on Day One.
However, the Canadian Open (live on Sky Sports this evening) will be of interest, so maybe someone will throw a few darts in my direction. So to speak.
Quite a line-up, too, & though not of "Major" quality - no Tiger etc - it does have a decent field, which includes Els, Mahan, Kuchar, Snedeker, Singh, & Ben Curtis, who disappointed so last week, & cost many of us a goodly few bob.
Odds for the Tourney are here.....
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/rbc-canadian-open/winner/all
Play commences @ 12.10 today, so any action on the Outright Market needs to be prior to that.

Thank you very much Aaron, & welcome back, but I fancy we will need more justification than "I fancy".
Anyone able to chip in with views on this bet? I know nothing of the team's qualities, past record, form, opposition, anything really, so we'll need some references & facty stuff.

A question.
There was a good deal of interest in Ben Curtis last week for The Open (please note, Phil, we do not call it "The British Open....), but he was never off, & we did our money disappointingly.
Can anyone make a case for him in the Canadian Open @ 66/1, based on the bounce back theory?
Be a bit like poker's flop-lag if he played well this week.

i like matt every in the golf at a general 100-1 eway (slightly smaller on the machine)_
reasoning
really come to life of late with five top tens in his last 13 events.
four of which came on some of the shorter tracks on tour (this is also such)
this season he is top of the par 4 or better birdie rankings (this is a par 70 with two "extra" par 4;'s)
a bit leftfield but plenty of positives throw in the old and i think still relevant "nappy factor" (baby had a few weeks ago i believe) and he should give a good run.

Thanks Horsey.
Any of our Golfy Geeks got a view on that?
