Just wondering but the SPOTY bets that were discussed earlier in the thread about Wiggins being a lay at the odds he was, is Andy Murray good odds at 14-1 (skybet) to win worth having a look at, if he was to win a Gold Medal (probably his best chance of winning something) and with his final in Wimbledon not catapult him in front of wiggins??

Just a thought??

Has been discussed up the thread I think.  You can get 18.5 on betfair without trying hard.  I assume people will look at the tennis gold medal below a grand slam win.  If I was backing him, I'd just back him for the gold medal and try not to get too fancy.  As he faces Djokovic in the semi then that seems optimistic too.

Thanks horsey.

Currently best quote (Corals included) is 16/1.

At that price, no point rushing, may as well await some feedback from others tomorrow.

Been away from this thread for a while, but very nice to see it still going strong.

Just a reminder to get on a bet that I remember Dubai recommending a while back; Taylor is playing White in the Darts tonight, and you can back White over 92.5 at 1.9ish (I've searched Oddschecker and Easyodds, you can get 5/6 with BetFred or 1.9 with Betfair [better to use Fixed Odds section to get a bet on]).

As Dubai pointed out before to us, people who play against Taylor generally have a higher-than-their-average average, as they generally have fewer shots at doubles. I have to admit I don't know a whole lot about White, but he looked impressive in the last game that I watched him, especially on checkouts. If somehow he manages to push Taylor in this match I can't see him averaging under 93, but if he's blown away, as expected, he should have few enough chances on doubles for the bet to come in.

This bet worked beautifully for the thread originally, hope some people here can make some profit out of it again.

EDIT: Just noticed that the BetFred price quoted 5/6 is for over 93.5's, obv better to go with Betfair's 92.5's at 1.9. Would definately suggest going for the BF sportsbook rather than exchange, as you'll struggle with the current strength of the market to get a bet on.

We had £60 @ 5/6 with Betfred (was unable to go the Betfair route), but it mattered not, we lost either way.

ON,

£60 @ 5/6, Betfred, White v Taylor, White to average 92.5+.

I have no idea of the merit of these figures; I just present them for information.

http://www.iaaf.org/statistics/toplists/inout=o/age=n/season=2012/sex=W/all=n/legal=A/disc=MAR/detail.html

Flanagan set her PB in the American trial of 2:25:38. It looks to me that she will have to take another 5 minutes off that time to be near the medals against any of a number of East Africans who ran much faster in the London Marathon.

This must be the first time in a long time a player has left double 15 twice in a match.

Enough of thse crazy Big Bro prices, the market is wrong imo. Deana shouldn't be favourite, let alone 2.6 on Betty.

Lay £100 @ 2.6 ta. She's boring and I'd put the three behind her in the betting ahead of her, so the lay seems the play in a weird year.

I posted earlier about women in the top 10 bet with Ladbrokes.

http://www.oddschecker.com/specials/awards/sports-personality-of-the-year/total-women-on-top-10-shortlist

Think there is good value in 5 at 10-1. Done a bit more looking into it and last year Kerri Ann Payne was two votes short and Addlington one to get onto the list.

So with that I can see there being 4 decent shouts now for women with alot of potential others for that +1.

Ennis
Addlington
Payne
Pendleton (Other British female cyclist)
+ one more

There also appears to be some Chris Hoy at @150 on Betfair. He has a chance to become Britain most successful Olympian ever during these games. If he does then he has to make the shortlist with a chance of a shock victory.

I'd also get on Kerri-Ann Payne to win @610 on Betfair. She is also somewhat of a media darling. Competing in the womens swimming 10k. If she makes the shortlist and Addlington doesn't there will be lots of focus on her. She is also quite active on twitter which could have a massive impact on her winning.

I think the market has over reacted massively to Wiggins. Would lay him now then would lay him some more if team GB win the men's road race on Saturday. Think there are some other huge priced people in the market but think those two have massive scope.
