I love your work Singhee - you are in danger of overtaking Dubai as official Fred hero - but one key stat seems to be missing from your research.

Previous record of batters v pitcher.

Do you look at this ever?

yeh i always look at it, jus got used to just posting info about pitcher form/ batters form on here

But it is defo taken into consideration, for this game lincecum has a decent average against mets but with his erractic form I dont think his previous form is as important as normal, because he just isnt the same pitcher who posted good numbers against most team of late.
Whereas harvey is a rookie so no previous stats

right i cant pick my nose on here but it wont stop me trying

5.25 GOODWOOD suggest GANAS at 14-1 (general) win only

i started off keen on hamoody but i fear unless its rattling ground which it wont be the horse probably cant win but it will be off for the first time this season. GANAS will start close to favourite in my opinion these are a lot of consistent exposed sprinters who are all close to there correct marks.

The selection on all of its runs this year suggest a sharp 5 will be ideal here (has been looking a possible non stayer over 6) The real clincher for me was the run at sandown last time, went the near side from the worst draw and only lost second in the last 100 yards sandown has possibly the biggest draw bias going so that was a massive effort. Considering it was about the only horse running well for cox when the stable couldnt buy a winner as well (stable in some sort of form at least now) and i really really like it at 14-1.
regardless of whether you bet it i would be expecting it to be challenging cruisetothelimit for favouritism by the off.

Thanks horsey.

I'm a bit behind with stuff, & I missed the 14/1, but I've had £10 @ 12/1 for Fred. Hopefully everyone else got the 14's.

PS - I accidentally backed it £10 EW (quarter odds, 1,2,3,4) so I'll keep the place part for myself, "off-thread", & the bet will be booked down to you as £10 Win.

ON

Ganas, £10 win @ 12/1, BetVictor.

I have laid some 142 GB here, even if they win this set they cant be shorter than low 1.30 odd

£143K matched for this result.
Standard for women's volleyball?

Earlier in the year I was helping out a mate that has a business providing commentaries and in running info on games that aren't on TV.  I went to the Ukraine for him in January to see a Russian bookie and their number one request was that they started doing volleyball as it is huge business for them!!!!  I was slightly lost for words as I didn't even know the rules of the game at that point

Hi Red

Sportsbook turnover on volleyball is insane these days, it is one of those sports that UK centric books overlooked for a long time simply because it doesn't have a profile in the UK. Euro basket is another sport that has crazy turnover at times that almost nobody in the UK would give a thought to.

Have been on a webchat with the excellent Michael Johnson

Asked him for some tips

Comment From Richard

The 100m sprinters aside, which US track and field athletes should we look out for as the biggest medal hopes?

12:48

Michael Johnson:
Ashton Eaton, the world record holder in the decathlon, also Sanya Richards, Allyson Felix, Will Clay, the triple jumper.

Interestingly Javier Culson who is Dai Greene's main rival not mentioned

Eaton is 1/5 no thanks

Interestingly Clay is 5-1 second favourite behind fellow American Christian Taylor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Taylor_%28athlete%29  This year they have beaten each other

Richards is Evens favourite in the 400m, which is backable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanya_Richards-Ross

Felix 8/15 in the 200m so no thanks

Welcome thoughts from others on Clay and Richards

scotty,

Trying to catch you before you disappear.

Sorry about your computer probs.

I WILL be backing those IGD tips later, thanks. I'm a bit overloaded with work today, hence no Daily Report yet.

But......

If you get a mo, can you give us a few tips for tonight's Sussex Cup Greyhound racing from Hove, which is televised?

They do not need to be Fred Tips, these are just so I can have a little off-thread punt.

Thanks.

Went over that card last night too. Will post my bets once I get home, have had to nip to Glasgow for a fast track passport, bloody expensive!!!

Culson is Puerto Rican  Wink (edit: Brent beat me to it)

As for Clay, think he could be worth a small investment, he's jumped 17.55 this year, Taylor's best this year is 17.63 (achieved at same meet, U.S trials I think), so little to choose between them although Taylor is a 17.96 jumper at best.

http://www.iaaf.org/statistics/toplists/inout=o/age=n/season=2012/sex=M/all=n/legal=A/disc=TJ/detail.html

Looking at the leading times for the Woman's 400m don't think Richards Ross is a bet at evens as there are two or three other runners who have either run faster or <.2 slower than her this year. In fact looking at the odds surely Yulia Gushchina at 20/1 (joint second fastest this year) is an e/w bet on tote at 16/1?

Am no expert on Gymnastics, but presumably the BBC commentators have some decent knowledge. They just said something along the lines of: 'If Dan Purvis performs like he did today (in the team final) he's got a great chance of medaling in the all around final."

Purivs is 5/1 on Bwin for a top three finish - http://www.oddschecker.com/olympics/gymnastics/mens/individual-all-around/top-3-finish

Not sure if it's value/banzai or somewhere inbetween, willing to be shot down but perhaps it's worth a small outlay or somewhere between £10 and £25 for Fred?

Not forgotten this Nick, I'm just a bit waylaid today, sorry.

When is the Event?

Note - these numbers do not exactly match the Spreadsheet. I broke it. Vince is on the way with his hammer & screwdriver to mend it.
