What’s coming up?

The KLM sponsored Golf Tournament starts today, & comes from Holland of all places. We have no interest, but it should make good viewing.

Over the water, it is the third of 4 Fed Ex playoffs, the BWM, again, no interest, though there is time yet. The "Top Korean" bet won’t happen this week though, Dr Noh scared them all away.

Today is my last day at home before I will be away, working (of sorts) for 4 days straight, so if you have bets for the weekend, try & put them up early please.

As Mccririck would say " My Noble Lord"

Lord Oaksey was a great ambassador for the sport especially "The injured Jockey Fund"

Yup, even John McCririck was deferential to him.

I believe you will find that this is Camel's thread, not mine.  Blame him, I do.

Mr Fellaini85.

What a superb first post. You'll fit in nicely here I think.

Love the logic, too - working backwards, removing those who cannot get the job, works well in this sort of thing. There has not been a European "repeat" Captain since Bernard Gallacher back in the 90's. On that basis, it is almost a one horse race.

I love the bet, but unless we can get a clear ruling on “when” the payout is, Fred can’t do it, nor can I, 2 years is too long.

IF they will pay out in December this year, I would deffo do it on my own account, except that it is with Sky Bet, & I don’t bet with them. Others might be interested, though.

In fact, if it were a December payout, Fred would find a way to bet it too, though maybe less than £100, as we don’t have a big enough ‘roll to tie the money up that long.

Great first Post, keep them coming please, & I’m glad you enjoy the thread. It’s quite hard work to run, but it’s worth it for the fun factor.

Tony if someone put a tip up on here and it was a rick ( hope that is the correct term ) with SkyBet would you have an obligation to alert them. Could there be any reprocussions if the guys here took SkyBet to the cleaners?

Nope.

They know their business, & would not welcome or even allow my interference or intrusion into their business.

Repercussions if someone here had them over? Not at all. It is nothing to do with me, & I'm sure they would forcefully remind me if I interfered.

I used to bet with them, but on reflection, that was wrong. So I had a chat with them about it, told them, & they agreed that it would be "unwise" for me to do business with them, so I never have since, either directly (on my own Account) or via anyone else.

So now, I have clean hands. When I visit the Leeds Office, which I do about every fortnight, I always look forward to seeing the "Bet" set up, the guy in charge is a great lad, shows me around, & I love the atmo in the trading room, all the screens, the chitter chatter, the buzz.

All this chat about the Ryder Cup has got me all nostalgic for whenever it was played in the UK it was at the Belfry and the greatest ever match play hole.

By the way, there are no odds yet available for the rugby league being played tomorrow yet alone 4 days hence. How can we effectively operate with such constraints? Bring back " Quick Fingers " Mere.

I played that hole. Think I took a 9 (shots, not club). ......off the Ladies tee. Ugh.

I WILL be "on & off" available this weekend, but just intermittent, & I can definitely do stuff overnight.  I just can't stay on blonde all day during the next 4 days (starring tonight), but I'll pop on regularly. The Reports will be truncated & mercifully brief, too, as I won't have time to do the full shabang. Be grateful for such mercies....

First time I played the par 4 18th I hit a perfect drive and a perfect 3 wood. It only left me a 9 iron into the green.

Who is the secret footballer betting market is now open with hills

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/secret-footballer-specials/who-is-the-secret-footballer

dave kitson is the favourite and has come in already from 7-1 to 4-1 this morning

I was convinced it was kevin davies for a long time but having read the book and the last few pages in particular.

"At the very end of the book TSF says he’s been eating poorly and boozing in an attempt to build a gut and get dropped because he’s so sick of the game."

This fits in with kitson a lot more and probably explains the market move. All of the previous clues dont fit to everybody but fit kitson probably more than anyone.

http://www.whoisthesecretfootballer.co.uk/ is a lovely little website but will leave you more confused than anything!
